The Good- The lady at the store is friendly and welcoming to dogs and have dog treats as well.
The Bad- there is a DHL strike going on so she transparently communicated that there shall be no pick ups and there is no ETA on it but you were welcome to drop off the package.
How it gets bad is the woman expects you to know how shipping processes work and not ask for any labels, confirmation after the drop off.
She entered the drop off in the system but she refused to give us a confirmation slip of the drop off (we need it as a proof of time of drop off as this package was a time bound international return item, online screenshots do not work for international return claims at times).
Her reasons changed by the second-
Dismissively-āIāve already entered it in the system, itās done and I cannot print a receipt now. You can look it up online.ā
āYou did not ask me for the receipt, thatās why I did not give it to you.ā
We did not know sheāll not be giving us a receipt, she did not explain it, did not offer this information.
āI cannot give it to you as there is a strike which I told you about.ā
At no point did she communicate what that meant for our shipment except a delay which we were okay with or the fact thereāll be no confirmation slip/receipt. She went to look at the people around us, as if we were creating a scene by simply asking her for a slip.
She waved us out of the store, it is till date the most bizarre experience Iāve ever had in Seattle.
So maybe great for passports and FedEx, but any DHL drop offs need to avoid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love this place. 1) it was a neighborhood business; 2) lady who owned it was very friendly; and 3) the prices were reasonable. There was a younger guy with a beard who was very helpful and nice as well. I was in there often between 2020- 2022 because I do not have a working printer at home; and my son was living with me so we had lots of different things being mailed. Fast forward to 2023 and I noticed a change in the atmosphere. Didnāt see the lady that owned it, the younger guy with the dark hair and beard were gone. There was a taller-ish fair haired fellow behind the counter who was not personable in any way; and the prices had shot up considerably. I didnāt want to, but I went in today because I needed a label printed and ended up paying 150% more than I had been paid in the past. I grant that the pandemic was rough on small business but that seems all the more reason to keep your customer base happy. I pretty much decided a year ago it had become a costly and unpleasant experience. I get that prices go up, but attitudes should be even more accommodating in that event. If I am treated well, I will pay to support. Sadly today just cemented my opinion that I donāt want to do business with them anymore. I will find a FedEx, which is cheaper and in my experience, friendlier. Donāt know if there is new ownership, but this is one small business I wonāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is in reference to the last 1 star review placed yesterday by a Kyung Ko, please let it be known that her review is totally untruthful!! This person, Kyung Ko, is apparently a Doordash driver that Petco hired to make a delivery for an order that we made online with them. This driver, on arriving during a busy time at the Mailbox, was extremely rude and loud, insisting on being helped ahead of all the other customers there.
The inappropriate and terrible comment of hers, "old lady", she is referring to in her review is the manager of Mailbox Seattle and one of the nicest people I've met since moving to Seattle 3 years ago who ALWAYS remembers our names and greets us with a smile and wonderful conversation every time we come into the store even when it's been weeks since I've seen her. Margaret uses EXACTLY the kind of costumer service I wish all businesses would use!
I'm so embarrassed that this Doordash driver, who was essentially representing us, was such a horrible person to this wonderful business and I hope that Google removes her fraudulent review. On our end, we have contacted Petco and Doordash in an attempt to have her reprimanded as well as finding out why she reported the items delivered but took the packages with her (I can only assume she took them home or...
