A Whiskey Wonderland - the whiskey bar: Where Whimsy Meets Whiskey!
If Alice fell down the rabbit hole into a whiskey wonderland, it would undoubtedly lead her straight to The Whiskey bar! This place is like Willy Wonka's factory, but instead of chocolate, you get a golden ticket to flavor town with every dram.
The whiskey selection here is so extensive that I'm convinced they've struck a deal with a leprechaun to hoard all the rare bottles. It's like a treasure hunt, but instead of a map, you get a menu - and boy, that menu is a map to pure liquid gold!
The bartenders are like whiskey wizards, concocting magical potions with the flick of a wrist and a sprinkle of whiskey fairy dust. I half-expected them to wear pointy hats and cast spells while they mix drinks. But hey, their talent is spellbinding enough!
Oh, and let's talk about the atmosphere! It's a mix of cozy speakeasy charm and funky party vibes. I'm pretty sure the whiskey barrels double as dance partners at night - they've got some moves!
The best part is the camaraderie among the patrons. You walk in as strangers and leave as a fellowship of whiskey enthusiasts, all bonded by our love for the amber nectar. It's like a boozy support group for those seeking the perfect dram.
I'm not sure what they put in the air at the whiskey bar, but it's like whiskey-infused oxygen that makes everyone friendlier, funnier, and more fabulous! Even the shyest souls end up swapping stories and laughter over a couple of tipples.
In summary, if you're looking for a place that combines excellent whiskey with a dash of whimsy and a sprinkle of laughter, Whiskey bar is your magical destination. But beware, once you enter this enchanting realm, you may never want to leave! Cheers to the Whiskey bar - where dreams come true and hangovers are just...
Read moreI sat down at the bar and there were 2 guys behind the bar. After 5ish minutes, 1 turns to me and asks for my ID. I pull it out, and he doesn’t check it (understandable bc it’s busy). A few minutes later, his partner checks it and hands it back to me. Neither asks me what I want; they’re busy running food and getting drinks for previous customers (again, perfectly reasonable even for a Sunday night).
I get it. I wait and there’s not a peep from me. No one drops off water or even remotely tries to engage in conversation nor eye contact. I’m feeling quite uncomfortable at this point. But the cherry was when a white guy walks in 15 minutes after I’ve been sitting there and the “bartender” immediately says “Hey! What’s up! How’re you? What can I get you?!”
If you don’t want me there, just ask me to leave; please don’t make it awkward.
After this exchange, I get up and walk out and decide that neither I nor they have to suffer my presence in their establishment. I’ve never felt so humiliated nor unwelcome ANYWHERE!!! Mind you, I’ve been some places where I’m not meant to be. Do better Whisky Bar, do better. Or just be up front about who you want in your place...
Read moreOur non-profit held a private event at the Whisky Bar Annex on a Saturday night in the winter. Mike was great to work with in advance of the event, patiently explaining their offerings and working within our budget to create a nice experience for our members. His staff welcomed me in person for a tour of the space ahead of time so that I could plan audio/visual connections and the like.
We had the Annex to ourselves, which was a great fit for out 80-person event. The space could have held 20+ more without feeling crowded. We had heavy hors d'oeuvres in one corner, and the bar served a selection of drinks curated to our cost point. We were able to bring in an outside custom cake celebrating our milestone event with no issue (coordinated in advance).
The space had a display screen that allowed us to play a photo montage (HDMI), as well as play an interactive trivia game. We brought our own music playlist on a cell phone as the bar has several connection cables to choose from.
Overall, we had a nice time, and I'd recommend the Whisky Bar to people looking to host events in a good atmosphere at a...
