Shop Around the Corner — Local services in Spokane

I have been coming to this store for about a year now, and it has always been an in and out thing. Never noticed the cashiers except for my total. I know it’s a busy place so I only go in when I can afford the time wait. Yeah the prices are a bit high and they could do much more in volume sales if they were dropped but that is the price of convenience. A few weeks ago I noticed a male cashier. This guy is funny and fast. Every time I see him he is busy. I have seen him 8 people deep in a line and this new guy cashed them out and they were all out of the store in less than 3 minutes. I thought to myself DAMN that was fast. The next day I came in and saw that new guy again, I started to talk to him while he was doing his stocking, then he excused himself to help a customer, the customer wanted a pack of smokes, so the new guy asked for ID, the customer didn’t have it and started to cuss out the new guy. All the new guy simply said was I am sorry to hear you feel that way and are experiencing that inconvenience. The next time I saw the new guy was today. When I was there the pastry shelf next to the register collapse while he was restocking it. I thought for sure it was all going to hit the floor but it didn’t, he just picked that whole thing up and brought it to the register and started to unload it. I felt realty bad bringing stuff up because every time he let go of it, it started to collapse. I was absolutely shocked when he rang me up while holding the rack up with his foot, while rocking a dead pool hoodie. I have to say I have never seen a cashier use 3 limbs to help me and do his job at the same time. I gave him a tip, but he wouldn't take it he just left it in the give a penny take a penny. DO NOT USE YOUR CARD HERE!!!!!!!!! Went in to get a bag of chips after work and I handed the lady my credit card and she says the card reader hasn’t been working right. She tries it about 3 times and says it finally works. I thought nothing of it cause I know how it is, I’ve worked cashier before. It goes through and I see it print out a receipt but she doesn’t give it to me, so I ask for one and she says she wanted to print me out a “better one” and I was just like uhhh okay that’s a little sketch, but also thought maybe I’m just being paranoid or something. I leave without asking for the first receipt which was a huge mistake. Today less than a week later I check the charges on my credit card and there’s a charge for $90 from a place called “Fish Daddy’s” from that same day, I’ve never heard of fish daddy’s in my life 😡😡 so just don’t even bother with this place unless you want fraudulent charges on your account, especially after reading some of the...

I was just in the store. I just got off work, had my backpack, the cashier asked me you can’t have backpacks, so I went back to the counter asked her if I could leave it there. She said yes when I got back my backpack was on the floor. Asked her were she had put it. She told me on the floor that why I left it there she had costumer coming and going. She then said you’re done, I said we are really going to do this all because of a backpack. I witnessed this same cashier last night not even pay attention to a guy that was stuffing stuff inside his coat and pants. She wants to get rude with me about me leaving my backpack on the counter.
