Kari's Create & Paint Studio — Local services in Stillwater

This was such a fun experience! My mom and I went for the first time today, and we were so impressed by the staff and all of the options available! We were greeted immediately, and even though the store was a little busy (Saturday afternoon), we were showed around and told about the projects we could make. Then we were left alone to take our time and look around. There is something for everyone at this store! Cute creatures, seasonal and holiday items, pieces ranging from simplistic to extremely detailed, mugs, plates, and even what appeared to be create your own options! You can also paint a canvas with a little help from a stencil, so you are assured to leave with quality art work. The work tables are spread out nicely so everyone is distanced and conversations are still private. The two young women working, Shayla and Mara, were extremely attentive to each group and readily available to answer questions. Great place for a birthday party! We had a birthday party for our 6 year old and it was fantastic! Kari's staff provided everything, ceramics, paint, private room, and a guide who helped us for the entire hour and a half. It was a hit with both the boys and the girls at the party. The kids got to pick out their own pottery (good size pieces - owls, mugs, spiders, kitties) then our helper explained how to paint and helped everyone out. When they were finished, we ate cupcakes that we brought in (store made) and opened presents. It was the easiest birthday party I've hosted for one of my kids and it was super gratifying as all the kids got to do art and had a unique piece of pottery to show for it! Kari is awesome! I made two pieces while there for my sister in laws bachelorette party, a cute little mushroom and an adorable hedgehog bank for my "coming soon" baby to be born in Dec. I was totally crushed when my other sister in law who lives closer went to pick up the items and she told me the mushroom had fallen out of the tissue paper and broken. She also told me Kari had graciously told her that they would try to glue it back together and that I could come in and make a new one free of charge. Unfortunately I live too far away to drive over to do that so I asked if she could ship it instead and she said yes!
