Another option is to dive up and park a couple of blocks away, either way a wonderful overlook any time of the year. The trees are somewhat of a pain in the summer for a good shot of main Street. If your in Stillwater is s good diversion from all the shops and main Street is not as busy now with the new bridge. Enjoy

This is our favorite spot in our favorite little river town. Excellent view of the St. Croix and the main strip of Stillwater. The stairs are a challenge for some, and often under construction during our visits. When my grandparents were visiting from Texas we drove them through the neighborhood and to the top to see the view... We were told it was the best part of the week long trip.
