You could say I frequent Tysons Corner Mall. Every time I go and I happen to walk by Läderach there is always a ton of people in there, so Ive always wondered how good the chocolate was.
So today the same scenario happened., at the mall, walking by, hella people. Ended up having to double back and on my way back I caught a down moment. So I was able to go in and see what all the commotion is about.
First I was greeted by friendly voices and smiles from behind a counter filled with many variations of chocolates and truffles. 💙
I let them know it was my first time there and they ran down how everything worked. Pretty much you pay by the pound. They offer samples on the barks. So I went over and I literally was the kid in that candy store. So many options, different color barks, different textures, etc. I honestly wanted to try each and every one of the selections (upwards of 15 different barks), But I went with the ‘Almond Date’… I was immediately sold. The chewy date-almond crunch combo is soooooo satisfying.
I tried a few others, not 100% sure of the names. But such an experience!
I ended up going with a selection of truffles and the serving of the ‘Almond Date’ bark.
The chocolate is REALLY good. Probably the best chocolate I have experienced in life.. So I see what all the commotion is about lol
Will definitely try them out again and if you havent, you...
Read moreI was shocked and disappointed during my visit to Läderach Tysons. I saw a fly land on the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Bark and walk across it. I pointed it out to a staff member — they said nothing, offered no apology or explanation, and just quietly moved the chocolate to the other side of the table.
This chocolate sells for nearly $40 per pound, yet it’s left uncovered and exposed to flies? That’s unsanitary and unacceptable. I’m now genuinely worried about food safety and potential food poisoning from something I once trusted as a premium product.
I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but this completely shook my confidence in their hygiene practices. Unless Läderach takes real steps to improve food safety and show accountability, I won’t be returning — and I’ll be warning others too. No one expects bug-laden chocolate at this...
Read moreI visited around 1:30 p.m. yesterday Thursday. The chocolate here is expensive but really delicious. You can tell that this Swiss chocolate is luxurious and strong when you try it. Also, the taste of each ingredient goes well with chocolate, so it's really attractive. The only flaw is that it's expensive.
The last visit was in April, and I felt bad when I bought more than $100 in 5 minutes because of grandmother who was very unkind and ferocious.
But yesterday, thanks to the very kind staff, I was able to buy chocolate with great satisfaction. I hope I can meet her on my next visit. She was...
