Kinky Lizard Cafe on Hay — Restaurant in Western Australia

We were looking for a nice breakfast to make up for a bit of a disastrous dinner the night before (food disaster honestly, everything went wrong). So we tried Kinky Lizard. If you order a cook breakfast be prepared that the food takes a little while to come out - nothing unreasonable mind, and I don't know about you but I'm happy to wait for a well cooked meal! - so it's a great place to take your time & relax. I wouldn't normally have Popcorn chicken for breakfast but I saw it come out & though it looked amazing so tried it. Absolutely delicious! Large, juicy pieces of breast chicken with a crispy coating, very generous serves too. If I ordered again I would ask for the sauce on the side as it was delicious but very rich and by the end had me struggling. Yummy, relaxing, good value, big serves,...

Well then, that was easily one of the best breakfast wraps I have ever had, along with the homemade sausage roll!

Service was great, friendly and fast especially considering how busy they were i was expecting a wait in the line of 5 people ahead me, took about a minute before I was at the counter, order was done in less time no fuss no messing around! Food came out hot and ready to devour in maybe 2 minutes max! The wrap itself was full, delicious and everything was good quality. Plus they use scrambled egg instead of fried so it fills up more of the wrap and no bite is without any part of what’s in it, absolutely outstanding place for breakfast!

Food took almost 30 minutes for a typical benedict. Had to repeat my order 3 to 4 times at the register because the girl had no idea.

I am normally not the impatient type when it comes to waiting for food at any restaurant, it started to worry me because everyone who came after got their food on their table and I was still waiting. After 30 minutes. When I came up to the register, the staff who was organising the bread tray, she signaled for me to wait because maybe organising the bread tray with more important? And then the cashier who took down my order, conveniently walked out of the kitchen with my food in her hands and handed it to me. She was even more confused than I was.
