What a garbage restaurant. It tries to pass itself as an upscale establishment, but it was a garbage experience from start to finish.
I reserved a patio table, but due to the rain, the outside area was closed. Totally understand! It would have been great if they seated us at a window seat, but no, they stick us in a corner somewhere with no views whatsoever.
Our table ordered the linguine tartufate. They made a show of covering your linguine with cheese from a cheese wheel and finishing it truffle shavings. I have never had such bland tasting food. The cheese from the wheel itself should have given off a delicious, very fragrant smell. Nothing. You’d also expect the truffle giving off a distinct smell as well. Nothing. There were several other tables nearby that ordered the same dish, and absolutely no smells were permeating the room. I had to douse it with salt and pepper to bring out some kind of taste to the dish. What a crime. It makes me wonder if either of the truffle or cheese wheel were real.
Waitress was horrible. We had a pile of snack dishes that were never taken. She came by once to check in on us.
Then came the bill. We were charged a “gedeck” fee. When asked, the manager said it was a fee that all restaurants in Vienna charge. Out of all the restaurants I’ve dined at, this was the first. Looked it up and it’s a charge that upscale restaurants charge for bread and other snacks they may provide. I not only did not ask for the basket of bread, but after taking one bite of it, I put it down because it tasted like cardboard. If you’re going to charge me for bread (or anything!), please make it worthwhile.
I’ve left the restaurant pissed that I’ve wasted a meal on vacay. This place is a disgrace. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Avoid this restaurant at all costs - you’ve...

For starters, the Salad Nicoise is a delightful mix of textures and fresh flavors, presenting a classic dish with a twist that feels both familiar and innovative. The beetroot carpaccio is equally impressive, with its thinly sliced beets providing a sweet earthiness balanced by a subtle dressing that accentuates without overpowering the natural flavors.
The highlight of the evening, however, is the spaghetti with truffle. Prepared tableside in a grand Parmigiano wheel, this dish is not only a feast for the palate but also a spectacle to behold. The rich, creamy sauce infused with the luxurious aroma of truffles envelops the perfectly cooked spaghetti, creating a dish that is decadent and comforting.

Upon stepping into Grand Étage Vienna, one is immediately captivated by its astounding rooftop ambiance, offering a panoramic glimpse of Vienna's esteemed first district. As the city sprawls out below, there's a certain allure to dining amidst the clouds, enveloped in the city's heart.
Though their non-alcoholic drink options are a tad limited, the pina colada I opted for was quite refreshing and blended to perfection. A sip of it immediately teleports you to a tropical paradise, even amidst the urban backdrop.
However, a slight hiccup for those seeking a serene environment: the proximity between tables might pose a challenge. Business meetings might become a test of concentration with the ambient noise. However, for a jovial evening out with friends, this setting could be just what you're looking for. Energetic, lively, and always buzzing with chatter.
In conclusion, if you're in the mood for a mix of splendid views, a hint of tropical bliss in your glass, and a vibrant atmosphere, Grand Étage Vienna is your go-to. Though it may not be ideal for formal gatherings, it certainly ticks the boxes for a casual night out with friends....
