🥞Seafood Pancake $149 Korean pancakes should be familiar to all of you, the seafood pancake 🫓 that I tried has crispy edges,soft and chewy filling. The addition of seafood such as cuttlefish 🦑 + shrimp🍤 and green onion/leeks made the flavour and texture more rich and varied. The homemade sauce is also very flavourful, a bit salty and slightly spicy, which makes the pancake more delicious every time you dip it in😋. ⁡ 🍲Seafood Tofu Soup $103 Tofu is a versatile ingredient that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Besides cooking methods like deep-frying, using tofu to make soup is a wonderful way to enjoy it😊😊 This Korean seafood soup is refreshing and tangy. Combining various fresh and chewy seafood🦑🦐enhances the richness of the soup. It often served with a bowl of rice🍚(less spicy). ⁡ 🐮Hotpot Beef Bibimbap $120 The portion is suitable for sharing between 1-2 people, and it has an appealing presentation👍🏻 with vibrant colors. It contains a combination of ingredients such as beef, carrots🥕,mushrooms, spinach, bean sprouts, and an egg🍳. The beef is stir-fried to a caramelized color with a sweet and savory flavor. The stone pot is heated well, and when mixed with the Korean spicy sauce, it provides a rich and satisfying taste. Additionally, the rice at the bottom of the pot becomes crispy and adds a delightful texture to the dish. ⁡ 🐔Soy Garlic Baby KFC $120 This was a bit disappointing😞. Extremely rude service. Me and my friend waited for 40 mins to get in. Once we sat, the staff already stood next to the table and ask what u want to order. We only got 2 drinks menu but not food menu. I had to show her that we didn’t get the food menu. The staff just got us one menu and immediately ask what we want. The staff doesn’t understand Chinese and we’re not good at English. We had to point what we need.

We ordered beef japchae, seafood pancake and mak so sa. I got my japchae within 10 mins and later seafood pancake, all within 20mins after we sat down.

We were just start having the pancake, the staff came and asked us was there anything we need cause it was last order. Then, later she put the bill on table and later asked us to pay, but we still haven’t finish the pancake at that moment and we just sat down for around 30-40mins.

Once we finish the last piece for pancake, they immediately came to collect empty dishes. We still haven’t finish our drink. But the staff, came and said we hv leave cause there is a queue outside. Our dining time was less than an hour.

She was extremely rude and we just ask her why there were people who got in earlier than us but she didn’t ask them to hv last order and pay the bill. She refused to answer and keep asking which table, which we hv pointed to her and specifically told her which table.

The food was just normal but with this service and price, this restaurant is not...

There are a handful of Korean restaurants along Kimberly Road in TST including Ssal Bori Ssal which has a small but cozy indoor seating area. They also offer take-away and delivery through foodpanda and deliveroo if you prefer to eat from within the comfort of your area home, office or hotel. Opening hours are 12-3pm (lunch) and 5.30-11.30pm (dinner) daily.

Ssal Bori Ssal offers an expected range of authentic Korean dishes. We recently ordered and had our food delivered in 28 minutes. Everything tasted expectedly good.

On the occasion, we had the Baby KFC (sweet & spicy) fried chicken, this was a fair serving size of nicely fried boneless chicken coated with a good sweet and spicy sauce. Not our favourite for spicy fried chicken in the area but better than average.

We also had the Pork Bibimbap which was similarly good. This was a fairly large portion with fresh vegetable ingredients and pork. Bowl came with plenty of hot Korean sauce to spicy up the bowl. Overall, this was an expectedly good bibimbap.

In the end, there are some good Korean restaurants along Kimberly, Ssal Bori Ssal was better pretty good on the evening we tried them recently. Would happily consider ordering again from this restaurant when next in the mood for Korean in the TST and...
