I don’t review much about restaurants but I had to make time to get this review out so that people know what to expect sometimes. I went into the restaurant at 8:15 PM hoping to order a pick up as we(family of 4 with 2 kids) reached Monteverde late after a long drive. I was told there were no Togo/takeout containers. What kind of a restaurant does not have them? Later I decided to order the food and then go ask the family to come into the restaurant from the car. I waited patiently to order but after 10 mins was told they cannot take in more people for dine-in. This is at 8:25-8:30 PM. Why mention restaurant will be open until 9:00 PM when you stop people in at 8:30PM. Next comes the worst part. I get out frustrated and I see 2 people enter to dine in. The lady took them in and seated them. What kind of discrimination is this?. I don’t know how the food tastes But this kind of service discrimination is something that I have never experienced in my life. I would give zero stars, but Google reviews forces me to add at...
Read moreWhat a wonderful evening. The only reason we only gave a 4 instead of a 5 for atmosphere was because we were the only ones there, but it is out of season. Raj, the waiter and joint owner certainly made up for this though. We had a wonderful chat with him about where he's from, the food and the improvements they are bringing in to enhance the dining experience, for example a new tandoor oven had been installed the day before. The food was exceptional and extremely generous. We had an onion bhaji starter, which has to be one of the best bhajis we have ever had, between the 2 of us and there were 8 pieces with 3 delicious dips. We decided to share a main meal, rice and naan. It's a good job because we wouldn't have finished one each. We absolutely love Indian food, having travelled in India and we can say we're also pretty good cooks of traditional Indian food as well, so we were delighted to have had such a wonderful...
Read moreA flavorful journey — absolutely delicious! We had the pleasure of dining at Delhi Indian restaurant in Monteverde, a wonderful family owned restaurant, and can’t say enough good things about our experience.
From the moment we arrived, the aroma of fresh baked naan and spices promised something special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We started with garlic naan and shared the chicken tikka masala and buttered chicken. We could tell these are very special family recipes crafted by a wonderful chef. We loved the the delicious sauces. The chicken was all white meat, and tender. The spice level is made to order. For dessert, we shared the rice pudding, which was absolutely amazing!
The service was excellent. Rakesh, the owner, was very warm and took great care of us. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Monteverde, you do not want to miss this exquisite culinary treat. We will definitely be back on...
