BO District — Restaurant in Prague

This is really a hidden gem in Prague! We were lucky because it was so close to our hotel (Hotel Cube Prague) and we were craving asian food. This is a fusion asian restaurant but the food was absolutely fantastic! After a whole day of hiking with Northern Hikes to the Boheme and Sachsen Swiss trails, we treated ourselves to a delicious meal at the Prague Bo and boy, it was amazingly delish! And we are 3 asians who are very picky about food. Everything on the menu was done fresh and they were absolutely delightful meals! To top it off, I had the last coconut panna cotta and I must say it was definitely worth the calories. If you are ever in the area, do drop by this little restaurant and grab a meal! We were in Prague for 4 nights. We booked 4 different restaurants before we arrived. We ate at BO District on the first night. It was so good we cancelled one of the other restaurants we booked and came back to BO District again a few nights later. We both had the beef with green beans and rice on both occasions. Such a simple dish but wow what a tastey meal. A clean taste but one of the best meals I’ve had. A joy in a bowl. I was glad the portions were too large for my wife who passed her bowl to me to finish off, which I gladly did. An absolute must visit restaurant. Very laid back and no service charge automatically added to the bill. The staff were very greatful of the tip. Did I mention it’s very inexpensive too? A bargain. Don’t miss this one....

Pleasant, nicely reconstructed interior. Attentive staff. The menu is short and the dishes do not list all the ingredients. The coconut soup was a take on the thai tom kha gai, but using the commercial curry paste (sold in local asian food stores), which is oversalty and quite spicy if you use the right amount for a flavourful soup base. If you use less, the soup gets bland. A serious cook should always make his/her own paste.. :) Also, rice noodles, tofu and banana slices didn't seem to compliment the broth too well..
