An absolutely unforgettable fine wine experience. We came here for a date with my fiancé, and we couldn’t believe how amazing the service, the food, and the atmosphere was. We were sat by a cozy barrel, extensively told of wine recommendations based on our personal tastes. Upon our choosing, we were served, Primitivo from Puglia in this case, and offered a board of cheeses and salami, including Pecorino, Asiago, Milano salami, and more. My girlfriend and I were staying at a hotel nearby and stumbled across this place. We were extremely surprised about how knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming the couple who owned the bar were. We were made to feel thoroughly at home and stayed until closing to enjoy the wine and pleasant conversation. It is rare to find a venue owned and operated by young people with such a passion and hunger for their business who put their customers at the heart of everything they do. The place is nice and the wine is good, but I'm giving it 2 stars because we were treated like typical tourists. There are definitely better options in the neighborhood. We ordered two glasses of wine, and without asking, they served us a little of cheese and charcuterie and then charged us for it (don’t think is a tapa or a kind gesture with your drink). The same happened with the wine—they kept pouring without asking, kind of forced. It's odd and makes you wonder how such things can happen.
