artic Bakehouse — Restaurant in Prague

The staff gave off an unbothered and RUDE vibe. It wasn't service with a smile, more like service with an eyeroll. 😡 Manners cost nothing, not a good first impression at all. There was no greetings, no farewells, no thank you's and on top of asking what they offer (as my first request wasn't available), I got the sarcastic response of "coffee." Well, duh sweetheart. 🙄

The coffee was ok, a bit weak but still drinkable - nothing amazing. Sugar, choc/cinnamon toppings provided at the counter.

Wasps all over the baked food, I noticed this caused 2 other customers to leave.

Arctic bakehouse is fairly good but I would say slightly overrated. Service was a bit strange here. Admittedly I came at a busy period and speak no czech, but staff were quite abrupt with me when I made what was an honest mistake.

They had left a small half door thing open and I walked through it mistakenly believing I was heading towards a toilet. There is no toilet in this establishment - worth noting this.

The food was good, I got a beef sandwich and an orange juice. These were fresh and prepared quickly; sandwich served warm, orange juice self served cold. Both were tasty and as filling as required.

Taste wise 3 out of 5. Hygiene level top class for Czech Republic. They wear masks and use gloves to take the bread for us. We went at 9.30 am but the croissants and baguette already do not taste like freshly baked. It is so hard and thick, you have to use so much strength to bite it off. The croissants taste 3 out of 5 compare to the ones in France. The croissants here is not crispy, but more bready and too big. The baguette is not crispy and fresh tasting even at 9.30 am.
