Update: After I posted the review, the management reached out to me promptly. They explained that it was a miscommunication issue - the server went to the kitchen to get my truffle fries, but they take a while, I left, not realizing they were coming. As a former worker bee of the industry I appreciate both the outreach and the offer of a complimentary side dish (TRUFFLE FRIES!!!!😛) So I’m changing the star rating f my review. Anyone who hasn’t been there, should try it. The pastrami sandwich (not on delivery service) is out of this world. End of update.

Listen, people, I love Meat Vandals. I mean, LOVE them. I have brought many many friends and family members to eat here. Their food is impeccable. It is the best pastrami I have ever had. The pastrami sandwich is to die for. They also have a fish/chips special on weekdays that is really really delicious. And any other day I'd be raving about that place. Not today, though.. I came in super hungry and super excited to make my oEder - mini Vandal sandwich and TRUFFEL fries. I said "truffle" several times and also pointed at an order of truffle fries standing at the counter. The order took a bit longer than usual and when it came - and, turns out, the girl ordered the wrong kind of fries. American fries. Not the truffle ones I craved. Mistakes happen - I get it. And when they do, it's up to the staff to correct it. But that didn’t happen. When I raised the issue, the girl just pointed to the ticket "American fries," "This is what you ordered." Then she walked away. I wasn't offered any solutions, no truffle fries or money return based on the mistake. I paid almost 300 crowns for unsatisfactory lunch, out of which 70 crowns for something I never wanted, never ate. The lady just hid in the kitchen until I left. So I walked by this place a few times thinking about it while I was walking around Prague, and finally got to stop in... I was blown away!! I got my order to go, but honestly I should have stayed in. The staff at the counter were so nice and easy going. While waiting, the music selection was wide and varied but I felt at home just being in my own zone singing to all the tunes I could and dancing in my little bubble. Once I got to where I was going with my food which was a nice little walk, let me tell you, the food was to die for! First lets talk about the pulled chicken poutine fries. I do not know their secret but my fries were still nice and crispy and hot when I opened them up a full 10 min or so after they were ready... so that is amazing! They were not a soggy mess at all. Now, since I really could not decide on a sandwich, I asked the guy at the counter to tell me his favorites and I went from there.... he did not disappoint!! The pastrami is juicy and just melts in your mouth. The chipotle sauce is a great addition and does not over power any of the other flavors. It was pure heaven in my mouth! I have never had a pastrami sandwich this amazing in my life! The bread was perfect for absorbing the juices without getting overly soggy on the bottom. If you are in Prague and want a quick bite; please stop by this tiny corner shop, you will be so glad you did! I would give higher than 5 stars if I could! Literally amazing and...

I had number 9 yesterday with french fries and chendar sauce.

The bread and the meat were very soft and in good quantity.

The problem is that it was very salty and at the same time the sauce was extremely sweet. As a result when eating the sandwich you feel just sweetness and at the end salt. I dont believe that anyone would be able to uderstand the kind of meat that was used to make the sandwich if he was blindfolded.

The frech fries were just bad unfortunately. What surprised me was that the chedar sauce was also bad! One of the worst qualities I have seen for chedar sause.

I want to give one more chance at the restaurant by trying something else from their menu, but all in all the first visit was a bit...
