I am a bit confused about that place. Food was delicious and there's no doubt about it. But unfortunately there is a waiter called Jacob who is racist :). That guy from the very beginning was a bit 'insulting' for us, confirming it with a sentence 'You have to be from Poland!'. I don't mean he was angry, bu his 'jokes' were placed very precisely to make us angry. He was very nasty for me (writing that comment), and was abusing every moment he could to show us we are not welcome to be there. I felt like he was disappointed by fact he has to be our waiter (I must confirm I called him waitress (wrongly?;p)). When we asked him about receipt, he told us that it would be nice if we could pay in cash. We gently apologised and told him that we have to pay by card, which made our King Jacob very mad. Going further, he showed us some other client (who was paying by cash) that this client is a real gentleman, cause he's prepared to pay in cash (both idiots?) At the end of the day when I told him his behaviour is unacceptable he started to play a big guy, telling me he's not my slave and he doesn't have to do what I want. I never expected from waiter being my slave, but well, he's my service there. He has to make me feel comfortable there. He hasn't and I think he isn't proper person to that place. I really regret he had any tip from us. I really recommend you to ask about any other...
Read moreI have only praises for this place. Returned to this restaurant for a second time and both meals did not disappoint.
Meals were served with a standard serving of plain bread appetizers.
The squid were fresh and tender, very well seasoned and a well executed simple grilled dish.
For the pastas, they must have been the best I’ve had in awhile. The shrimp garlic tagliatelle was simple, yet tantalized our taste buds with what I thought was butter on the pasta dough. It definitely tasted better than your average aglio or garlic pasta. Shrimps were fresh and tender as well.
Had the prosciutto fungi tagliatelle as well, and the ingredients in this dish stood out well even amongst the perfectly fresh tagliatelle and cream. Porcini mushrooms were tender and I don’t think I’ve had anything like this before. Parma ham was well cooked to remove some gaminess and also most of the salt has been mixed into dish. Best ham and mushroom cream pasta I’ve had, to put it simply.
Seafood risotto was nice, with the risotto cooked to perfection. Nothing to complain about the tomato sauce as well as the seafood which were fresh.
Ended the meal with a tiramisu which used a tasty sweet cream that was delicious and the coffee flavor was strong enough as well.
Overall value for money place and I honestly do not think many Italian restaurants in the world can get...
Read moreI don’t really understand what happened. We came in and immediately got a cold reception like we were intruding. We don’t really care if service people are rude honestly, so we kind of just shrugged it off. I guess we should’ve taken the hint though. The waiter came by once to drop off menus, a second time to take our orders, and then never again lol. No pleasantries, didn’t even take our drink orders which is a shame because I would’ve liked one. We noticed most of the other patrons were served a basket of bread, had their drinks filled, were asked how they were etc. I say most because I noticed there was a table with two Arab women next to us who also weren’t offered bread or any pleasantries. Even still, the food was pretty good so I was happy to look past all of this until it came time to get the bill. They ignored us for nearly an hour, which I figured was purposeful. Eventually I just asked for the check, flagging down a waiter, and was told to go pay upstairs. I thought that was odd considering the non Americans next to us paid at their table. When we went upstairs they made us stand around until I directly asked to pay. When I did they asked me to leave a tip lol. I told them no and the bartender heckled me that was “real nice”. I don’t know if we did something but really it’s a shame they’re so rude because the food was solid. Avoid...
