A huge disappointment with this hotel. Arrogant, contemptuous and overbearing treatment. We arrived by train from Berlin to Prague. Then we were going to go to the hotel to get the rooms we had booked. Coincidentally, at the central station in Prague, we were told by telephone that my father had died. Logically, we had to return immediately to Spain and take a taxi to the airport. In the meantime, we called the hotel to inform them of what had happened. We were told that we could not be reimbursed for our stay, but that we would be compensated with a discount for a future stay at the hotel. We were asked to report the incident in writing to the booking platform for the record. After several hours and once we had all arrived back home in Spain, we called the hotel again to tell them that we had already written and to ask them to tell us when we could stay again in the future. With excuses, they first told us that they were busy and to call on another day and time. Surprisingly, at the same time, they deleted the messages we had written to the booking platform and also blocked us from sending new messages. We have privately written emails to the hotel, without any reply. For my part, because of the treatment received from the staff of this hotel, if I return to Prague, I will not set foot in this hotel. As your business is a hotel company, you should take better care of your customers, which is your greatest asset, and not treat us as you have treated us, with enormous contempt, with lies and without caring about what happened for an unforeseen and more than...
Read moreLoved this place. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful, and interesting. The staff were a major factor in making our trip was so enjoyable. The Design Jewel hotel itself is a quaint, interesting, and personal hotel. It felt like we were going home each night rather than a hotel.
The location was great. 2 minute walk to subway, 10 minute walk to Old Town (Old Town is expensive so it's better to walk to rather than stay in the area), 5 minute walk to W. Square. So close to everything, yet tucked away on a side street away from the crowds and noise.
The food was great! Breakfast is a full continental breakfast PLUS choice from a menu. Everything was delicious and we'll prepared. I typically ate breakfast and skipped lunch.
I would highly recomendation for couples looking for a nice Prague vacation with English speaking hotel staff who are friendly and willing to advise. 5 star service at an affordable rate, but better attitudes than Foir Seasons. If we return to Prague we will...
Read moreI honesty can’t describe how satisfied I am with choosing this hotel. Staff is so kind and helpful, rooms are renovated, modern and cozy and hotel is situated in best location. Walking distance from hotel is around 13 min to Charles Bridge, 10 min to Old Town Square and 2 min to Wenceslao square….And the most important part of the stay -breakfast are to die for! I have eaten in many different places before but I can’t even compare it to this place…and they serve it until 16:00:) you can choose from many different choices, savory, sweet, vegan, with vegetables/ fruits and all of the dishes are amazing and so unique..My personal favorite was Guinoa bowl and Turkish eggs..definitely do not forget to try homemade limonades!…If I will ever come back to Prague again I will not hesitate a minute in deciding where to stay. Thank you for...
