It is a very welcoming restaurant with great italian food and beautiful interior design. Our issue, which has happened twice now, was "the bill".
Firstly, we had the ravioli and a pizza. Both were amazing. We also had an IPA and a Bailey's coffee, the latter of which was surprisingly good!
Secondly, service was brilliantly warm, welcoming, swift and professional from when we stepped foot inside the restaurant, until just before the bill came. Keep in mind, we had one server serving us everything that evening, we will call him Mr. A
Thirdly, the interior was beautifully decorated, befitting that of a mid tier restaurant. Overall atmosphere was like how one would expect of a good restaurant: welcoming, professional, and amicable.
However, when we asked for the bill to one of the servers, he told us "we don't have bills here", to which we assumed it was a misunderstanding of a joke, something along those lines. Then we asked Mr. A for the bill, who then came back swiftly with it, and the pin machine. This was when things felt off. Mr A's demeanor was cold, his eyes looking elsewhere and seemed unfocused upon us. We assumed he was busy with other things, e.g. maybe they were understaffed that evening. We paid, looked at the bill and realized that it had 3 items that we never even ordered. So we went to the bar, talked to Mr. A and another staff member, and successfully resolved the issue. At this point, everything was fine. We assumed it was a human mistake and moved on. However, when we told this story to our family, who, coincidentally, also had the exact same issue as us (having items on the bill they never even ordered), we all became suspicious.
Now, take the story however you will. This is just our...
Read moreI would describe the experience I had as delicious and thoughtful. It does not take me long to describe the taste of the dishes, as genuinly everything tasted amazing and was truly tasty! Besides tasting good, it was a beautiful sight to see, as the dishes were pleasing to look at. It should also be noted that appart from the ice-cream, the desserts are homemade :) The element that rose the experience from good to amazing, was that the waiters were knowledgeable and really thoughtful! For example, the Italian waiter that was serving us described the process of how the food was made as if it were being cooked in Italy itself, which made the food sound better and the experience more authentic. Also, we wanted to share a pizza, and they saved us from going through the hassle of having to awkwardly divide it and proceed to consuming it, by eliminating the awkward section and divide the pizza it for us in advance. Although being a small thing to have done, it immediately transformed my dinner into a much more enjoyable experience.
To sum up, it was the little things that made the experience more pleasurable and enjoyable as a whole.
P.S.: See...
Read moreIn short, I can't really recommend this place. Let's start with the food. We were two people. We had a starter, which was grilled battered squid rings. These were the highlight of our visit, and were both tasty and crunchy. Lasagna was quite average, a bit dry and overall disappointing. The pasta carbonara wasn't good; it was both too heavy, sticky and overly salty (which we did complain about). A good carbonara is both light and creamy. This was not. The waiters were interesting to watch, but not because they were amusing. One looked angry, and i overheard another table get into a bit of a conflict with him as he insisted on taking their food before they had finished. A couple of the others looked stressed even though the restaurant was less than half full, and one guy seemed genuinely friendly but also had trouble with English. Since the food was a bit on the pricey side as well, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. If you're looking for Italian food in Copenhagen, there are much better options. Looking at some of the other reviews from a year ago, the food does look better, so perhaps the quality...
