MAYA — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Visited in August 2025, during the opening weekend. We tried the tasting menu plus the pork bao and the shrimp ceviche. The food was good, tasty and more than enough. My favourite dish was probably the salmon tostada from the tasting menu. The ceviche was second only because it was too salty, otherwise I very much enjoyed it. There was also a nice selection of drinks, we tried the michelada and 3 cocktails, but there were also many non-alcoholic drinks in the menu. The restaurant interior was decorated nicely and the atmosphere was quite pleasant, with background music on a volume that easily allowed talking. The staff was probably the best part of the visit though - professional and knowledgeable, yet friendly and with nice humour. While I can't say that Maya had the best Latin American food I've ever tried, I can say that the price/quality/quantity balance was good, so I'd be happy to visit again and see how...

The food was absolutely delicious: the salad was fresh and flavorful, and the tacos were a real celebration of tastes. The cheesecake is, without a doubt, the best I’ve had in a long time, and the chocolate mousse truly amazed me—it’s just like the one we enjoy back home in Argentina (which says a lot, since we had never found a place that makes it so similar).
