This was my favorite meal during our chamonix stay march 7-14. Glad i happened to stumble upon this place last minute. Other reviews complain about the smoke inside, but it wasnt bad at all, and made the place smell great if you love the smell of campfires and bbq. The food was delicious I had the beef ribeye, with cognac/pepper sauce, and potatoes gratin with summer truffle. The potatoes gratin with truffle was a real panty dropper. I wish i had more, or the recipe to make at home, it was probably one of the best things ive ever eaten. The cognac sauce also blew me away. I thought it was a side when i ordered it but i was not disappointed. My steak was good too, I personally would have like a more of a sear crust on the outside, in Hindsight i probably should have added some more salt to it to make it better for me, but understably salt can be a difficult personal preference for a chef to accomodate various customers, so its better to lightly salt in the kitchen and add to taste at the table. I ordered the morgan natural gamay wine. That was also delicious. I wish I could find it in the USA. Our table of 4 order all 4 deserts, they were all great too. I cant wait to return to bizes someday. The service was on par aswell, very nice staff. I dont understand how other people take issue with it. Maybe they have too high expectations and are uptight. I dunno. It was a nice relaxing meal for us with some top notch food in chamonix. Hats off to the chef. If you like good food check it out.

This was our second time in Chamonix in the past two years, and by far this is our favorite restaurant. We originally found it searching for steak, but were blown away by one flavor bomb after another. The vibe is cute and edgy, with the river flowing in the back and a cheerful, welcoming staff. The house-made bread with tomato pesto was absolutely delicious. The cauliflower appetizer could have been my entire meal — so complex and rich with flavors and textures that I studied the menu afterward to dissect the ingredient list. (something I’ve never done before!). My boyfriend’s pork came with a BBQ sauce layered with a potent flavor I couldn’t name — maybe almond butter? The stuffed mushroom lived up to its name — stuffed me with pleasure! On our second visit, I ordered the chicken curry, thinking, “How good can a curry be?” Another banger. Somehow they managed to elevate chicken curry to new heights. I kept sneaking glances at the chefs working in the tiny kitchen — true artists. I wanted to ask them, “WHAT is going on in there?!” Throw me a bone! Just one! This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, ranking alongside the few Michelin-starred meals I’ve had. The waitresses were sweet and attentive, and we even had a lovely chat with a fellow climber seated next to us — one of those evenings where you leave blissful and nourished. In fact we felt so grateful, my darling boyfriend paid for the man’s meal we sat next to on the way out. Well done, Bizes. Please continue!

A hidden gem in the heart of Chamonix but away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. We came back twice during our short stay (that's saying a lot considering there's no shortage of eating options here). They specialize in barbeque - they have a Josper oven. Everything has a beautiful smoky flavor with a glorious char. I'd recommend the veal and the bufala *chef's kiss 😘. With a side dish of fries and grilled tomatoes & grapes, with the pepper sauce. Wine choices are great. Service was excellent - wait staff and the chef were so friendly. They don't charge for service so do be sure to leave a tip. Make a booking because the place gets pretty packed. Table allocation is on a first come first serve basis but they still did their best to seat us by the river, which IMHO are the best seats in the house. In summer, sitting outside is lovely. This restaurant is now my favourite in town. p.s. to the owner, if you're reading this - we're the 2 Asian girls and 1 of us has pink hair! 🩷

To say this restaurant is the best in Chamonix is an understatement - it is hands above any of the many others we have tried. We came first for the great reviews and went back for the fabulous scratch-made food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. The location adjacent to the river is spectacular and although the weather didn’t allow while we were there, the riverside patio looked very inviting. I can’t say enough about the wonderful flavours the chef is able to impart - the use of fine herbs/spices makes every dish unique, interesting and delicious and left us wanting more. Over two nights we tried the smoked prawns, a wonderful Thai-inspired chicken curry, the rib-eye steak, lamb shank and for dessert the Mille Feuille - all were beyond expectations. And my husband (who has to eat gluten free) was so pleased that everything (except bread) was gluten free with no compromise to flavour whatsoever. The service was exceptional - the owner and her son were very attentive and it was evident that they truly care about pleasing and rewarding their customers with food that will be long-remembered for its quality and unique and wonderful flavour profiles and service and atmosphere beyond compare. This restaurant is a must-visit while...
