Le Bartavel — Restaurant in Bonneville

The worst experience ever. On the restaurant window, there is an advertisement: salon de thé, patisserie, etc. in fact there is nothing like that in their offers... Instant hot chocolate is the best we managed to get...the range of desserts is very limited.

We came to this restaurant to have lunch and great desserts and got... nothing. We ordered one pizza and one hot chocolate. The chocolate arrived after some time, the quality was questionable . Regarding the pizza we waited for 40-50 minutes and still didn't have it. The table near us, that came much later got 4 pizzas in the meanwhile. The waiter assured us that our pizza would arrive in 2 minutes. 10 minutes past we got nothing and decided to just pay for the chocolate and leave. The waiter didn't offer any apologies, raised his voice and started arguing, trying to make us pay for the pizza we never got. At the end we paid for the chocolate and left. Definitely not...

The service was terrible. We went yesterday and ordered pizza and drinks. The waiting time was too long for a pizza that was simple to make.. a margarita pizza keep that in mind. We waited over 50 minutes for a single pizza! The people working there ignored us completely and never even bothered to check on our order till we were completely upset and almost left the place. The waiter that was in charge of us mocked us the whole time and was completely disrespectful. I do not recommend this place at all there are other places in Chamonix that sells pizza way better than this. Worst experience ever and the worst restaurant staff and food ever. The pizza came burnt and wasn’t good at all. 1 star is too much this restaurant should be given zero stars and even below. Not even a 0/10 is good for them and not worth it for them. Ridiculous. Soup was like kids in kindergarten had a workshop to learn how to prepare soup. It was hot water with some vegetables, it surely wasn't cooked together. The onion soup was awful, I wish it would be knor instant from the supermarket. Bad. On top it was expensive. Then the pizza was again bad, I ate only half. Watched around me, others didn't finish as well their dishes. The hamburger was worse then McDonald's. To have a good taste for the expensive bill, the waiter kept begging for a tip! He was French, he knows prices include the service, more annoying was that his boss stands next to him and heard him keep asking for a tip. Really waste of time, bad food, bad feeling, bad evening! Shame...
