Terrible Service, Mediocre Food – Avoid This Place

We recently dined at this Italian restaurant in Paris with a group of friends, and it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. From the start, our waiter was impatient, dismissive, and didn’t bother to write down our order, which led to a series of frustrating mistakes.

When the food arrived, orders were wrong. We politely informed the waiter, showing her exactly what we had ordered, but she brought back incorrect dishes again. One of our friends had to wait an exceptionally long time for his food while the rest of us had already finished eating. After two failed attempts to get the right dish, he decided to cancel his order altogether.

To make matters worse, the waiter insisted on charging us for the incorrect dishes that were sent back immediately and not touched. When we tried to explain the situation, she became rude and confrontational, refusing to acknowledge the mistakes. There was no manager available to discuss our concerns, leaving us with no recourse.

The food that did arrive was mediocre at best—nothing special or worth the hassle. Given the terrible service, the rude attitude of the staff, and the subpar food, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. There are plenty of better options in Paris where you can enjoy a meal without the drama and...

Came here on the weekend and was very very unimpressed with the service provided. On arrival we ordered our drinks, starter and main and our drinks and starter arrived as normal. However, then an hour and 15 minutes later there was still no mains… people who had been seated over 30 minutes after us has been served their mains and there was no sign of ours! We decided to leave and only pay for our drinks and starter and the owner tried to give us our mains in doggy bags, they had just been sitting there for god knows how long. Not the waiters fault at all, he was very nice but the establishment clearly doesn’t understand good service - which is shocking considering the price. I guess that’s what you get for eating in an area like that. We decided to travel back to our hotel in Bastille and visit our favourite restaurant we found during our trip, “Santa Lucia”. Food- mixed review- excellent calamari and sea food, veal scallopini dry and too much breading , pasta mushy with so so tomato sauce Asked for gin martini - got semi sweet vermouth with slice of lemon but asked for a rind My wife asked for a glass of Bardolino that is listed in red wine choices - the waiter brought a bottle of Bardolino that was opened and had some rose inside arguing it was Rose Bardolino that restaurant was on a wine list. He was condescending hearing other language than French- total different behavior towards French/ Parisians. Be aware - it might not be a nice experience - we did not make a scene- last night in Paris during the pandemic - overall great time so we are grateful for it- the waiter sooner or later will pay a price for being a jerk.
