While walking down the street, we happened to notice this little shop’s sign and decided to stop by. The friendly gentleman working there explained everything with such kindness, so we tried a few of his recommendations — including the award-winning eclair. And wow, it was absolutely amazing! I even bought some eclairs to share with our neighbors, and they loved them too!

Discovering such a lovely place during our trip became one of the happiest memories for our family. The hot chocolate for our kids and the extra-hot coffee for us were just perfect. We’ll definitely come back next February with my husband. What a wonderful way to end our Strasbourg trip — with delicious desserts, warm drinks, and such kind people. Truly...

Delicious eclairs. I would say tied as the best we had on our trip in Alsase region. During our week in Alsase, we have been to 16 patisseries and we only go to highly reviewed patisseries and Donatien is tied as our favorite (another gem is in Kaysersberg). Just for comparison, more famous patisserie not too far from Donatien with rating of only 4.4 on Google Maps is a no go for us. On our second day in Strasbourg, we stopped by again to try other flavors and they were even better. Our favorites were Pecan, Caramel and Lemon Yuzu. Patisseries in Alsase region (maybe whole France) are just level above as in other countries, which is good for our health 😀 we will have to go on a diet...

We stumbled upon this small café in Strasbourg and were absolutely delighted by the experience! The eclairs were incredibly delicious and unique. We especially loved the savory one with truffle and cream cheese – a truly extraordinary combination.

The girl at the counter was very welcoming and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. One of the best parts was being able to sample a few flavors at the counter before deciding – such a thoughtful touch!
