Le Trolleybus — Restaurant in Strasbourg

My wife and I called in for a refreshment today. We had one drink and on my second beer I witnessed one of the bar workers have a drink of my ordered beer before he put it on the serving tray to bring drinks to our table when the bar staff (the guy with a prominent beard and a band tattoo on his forearm) realised I saw this he immediately grabbed the glass and put it to one side. In the mean time the glass was always visible to me. He waited a few minutes thinking I wasn't watching and poured a little out of the glass and topped it up and brought it to our table. I was shocked. I got up went to the bar and asked for the bill for the drink we i drink we have already consumed, he told me his colleague only drank a little bit so he just topped it up. Je n'ai jamais vu quelque chose de si lamentable... Je vais vous raconter mon expérience. C'était tellement mauvais que c'est devenu comique. Nous étions quatre, on commande et on se rend compte que la table était bien sale, pas bien grave, on demande au serveur de passer un p'tit coup de torchon. Énervé, il nous dit, oui, mais il faut que je livre ces plateaux avant. Il a mis assez longtemps pour que je me démarre vers le comptoir pour demander un torchon. Les amis ont trouvé ça exagéré, j'ai attendu donc. Le serveur arrive avec les boissons d'abord, puis revient cinq minutes après avec un torchon trop mouillé et surtout SALE. Il essuie très vite fait et laisse la table trop sale. Après, ma pote va aux toilettes, elle cherche bien, et la barmaid lui répond: c'est pas par là les toilettes. Ma pote était carrément obligé de la regarder et dire: ben, elles sont où les toilettes? (Qui fait ça?) Après un verre et un shooter chacun, nous avions soif. J'ai demandé une carafe d'eau et quatre verres. Le serveur me répond : en fait, on ne fait plus de carafes. Tu es obligé d'aller les demander au bar. J'y vais cinq minutes après, le monsieur était au bar, en train de ne rien faire, car il attendait que la barmaid prépare sa commande. Il me regarde puis il me dit: c'est pour l'eau? Il me sert un verre d'eau, je l'ai prudemment porté à la table ce précieux verre d'eau, j'en bois, et L'EAU ÉTAIT CARRÉMENT CHAUDE. Je l'ai versé sur mon t-shirt car il faisait bien chaud. Voilà mon expérience, j'ai des potes qui y vont souvent et je ne vois pas comment. Je ne m'y mettrai plus jamais mes 52 dans cet endroit pitoyable. À fuir fois mille. J'y étais mercredi 3 août...

Great bar, very friendly staff, nice interior and easy prices.. open till 4 am. As a tourist it is perfect when you just want to have a beer or some drinks in a chill enviroment with good music.
