Atame Tapas Bar — Restaurant in Berlin

Oh… where should I start?

We were asked to sit at a table, which was still dirty from the previous customer. When we pointed it out to the waiter, we got a nice “But you can still sit there right?”

The waiter, who was taking our order (which took some 15 minutes to come), had no clue about the menus and had to be pointed to a specific meal in the menu. Not to mention we couldn’t figure out the language to talk to the waiter. Ordering simple Olives ended up being a challenge

We asked to serve bread and olives first, cold tapas, then warm tapas and main meal at the end. What we received was warm tapas, cold tapas, bread. When the Olives and main meal didn’t arrive, we asked about their status and were informed that both were gone for the day ( what a good time to learn about it ).

Okay, we were still hungry so decided to get another tapas and a dessert to finish. Fifteen minutes later we got our dessert. Not surprised at that point, we got tired of the frustration and asked for the check.

The tapas arrived when we started pulling put our wallets. At least, the manager (we think), saw the situation and sent the tapas back without us having to pay for it.

The food itself is quite tasty, although I have a lot of questions to the wine they serve (the house one). The interior is very eye catching and the atmosphere is...

I don’t know if it was a bad day but me and my friends had a bad experience. All started when the waiter asked us to sit on a table that was full of dirty dishes. After asking, they cleaned the table. It took some time for the waiter to show up..and he couldn’t understand anything what we wanted (we tried speaking in German, English and even in Spanish).

The drinks took 10-15 min to arrive..the warm food arrived before the cold one.

Some dishes were missing and after asking the waiter 2x, he said they didn’t have the food anymore.

The we ordered one more dish and dessert…the dessert arrived first and the warm took so long that we asked to cancel. The manager was nice and under stable..but I left the place hungry…

The house red wine is not so good, but you should try the Atame special, which is nicer.

I used to go there many years ago, but it seems that the service quality...

The 2 missing stars are exactly because of a kid serving there. Long hair, non conventional sexuality and somehow got a beef with me when i was just sitting and chilling handling my own business. Right after, a lot of nordic people arrived and he invited everyone after refusing to serve me a caipirinha. And he did to other girls and people that was nordic also. Plus after i questioned after this behavior, he started to scream and shout at other staff, especially the barman. Shout to the barman and the other 2 asian employees that put him in his place, as any decent human being should be. Learn to behave, kid. Never again keep cursing at your co-workers. A human thing to do and especially not in front of customers. Anyways. Fire this kid to learn in the harsh way or spend a good amount of time teaching him/her(i have no idea until now) simple...
