Typisch Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

My rule is 'If there's curry wurst within a 10-minute walk of the hotel, you win the prize. That prize is curry wurst'.

Typisch was a stone's throw away from where I was staying (in the other direction of Checkpoint Charlie, which meant it was a little less busy), and by the time I got there - they had just finished serving a walking tour of about 15 people or so.

Despite the rush they had just gone through, everyone was really nice - and the curry wurst was made hot and fresh. The bread, which is often overlooked, was SO good - and I would definitely repeat!...

A++ Highly Recommend. Service is EXTREMELY friendly, currywurst is on point, and they have the best (& oldest) wheat beer in Germany ... ON TAP. Let's face it, Berlin is a tourist town. You're going to have one-off reviews from negative Nancy's. Ignore those Debbie downers and hit Typisch. I did not get the older gentleman and lady's names, but DENNIS is a stud! Thank you for being great hosts, good food on the go, and SUPER friendly to this American boy.

I should be sincere, I never ordered here more then some buns or donuts. Most is coffee or cocktails. But... Service here is AMAZING. I understand why during middle of a day it's always full. I live just on the corner, so Im quite regular and since first time, I'm always so so so satisfied with the women who are working there. It doesn't matter if Im coming alone or with my dogs.
