Starbucks Monkey Forest — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

—old review 17 May 2023– Between 14:00-15:30. Spacious outlet aside, the staff only did the bare minimum in serving local customers. I concluded this due to their staff who went above and beyond (energy, friendliness, willingness to give recommendations) to the foreigner custs next to me, but not to me and my friend. It was so strange. I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks in multiple countries so I know full well how they usually treat customers, hence my reason to keep coming back.

I was having a very good time right on the day after my birthday. The very warm greeting I had from the barrista, they also gave me special service and wish me a happy birthday.

Apart from the most discussed issue that lot of businesses in Bali that are much more friendlier to the white tourist, Starbucks Monkey Forest has proven that they have similiar service to local and white tourist that came here, moreover, the barristas here are much more better to local like me.

I had a wonderful visit to the Starbucks located near Monkey Forest in Ubud! The café offers a cozy and modern space. Despite being a familiar chain, the setting here feels uniquely integrated into the Ubud vibe. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, making me feel welcome. As always, the coffee was up to Starbucks' high standards, and I especially enjoyed their iced beverages on a warm day.
