Short version: Worst customer experience in Rome! Don’t be fooled by the 4.6 star rating like we did - don’t know how they made this happen…
Long version: We as a family of 7 with four kids had hoped to have a good ending of our nice day in Rome. But we should have chosen another restaurant.
Our vaitor didn’t at all understand our order and we tried to clarify to him several times we got the wrong order. Every time we reached out to him to clarify he was so hasty trying to guess rather than actually listen to what we explained to him as customers.
After not getting all our food we consulted another younger colleague who was very helpful and better at English - and who tried to sort out his colleagues mistakes and get our last food served. Upon paying at the cashier we where asked to pay for a lot of food we didn’t order. We politely again explained that we had several times clarified to the two vaitors. The first vaitor came by and was very frustrated, again didn’t listen and then started to accuse us for lying. He even started changing the premises of the order and said we where no longer able to get the kids menu for our son at 7 years because it suddenly where changed to a limit of 5 years old. He had never asked about or stated this during our interactions with him. And we never btw got the kids menu for our son at all. We ended up not being understood at all. We several times clarified that it was not about the money, it was the bad experience of not being understood as customers and the vaitor not owning up to his responsibility. ...

We asked Ali, our waiter, if we could cancel mains but he complained that managment would let him pay for our cancelled food regardless of it not being made as yet and that we need not worry it would be good. Disaster. I have had better takeout pasta in Venice and Milan. We could not eat the food even after the waiter did not bring the olive oil and balsamic we requested. Even the sparkling water was bad quality. I requested the bill and when it was not forthcoming I went to the bar where Ali was to pay. When I reminded him about the fact that I wanted to cancel he became aggressive and loud, telling me that I ordered the food and if I wanted to speak to management I had to go to the USA.This is where management was. Maybe thats the reason why the food is so bad? After politely asking Ali to take his finger out of my face I paid in full and left without an apology being offered or any consequence whatsoever. Read morefirst of all wine was delivered when everyone almost finished the food and i don’t want mention that we asked what wine will be good with the chicken so it’s obvious that we want that waiter bring us wine with food or before. which i think drinks supposed to be the first on the table, they made mistake with payment and made us pay extra money for drink we didn’t get, The bartender didn’t care about this situation and sent us to waiter. waiter didn’t know what he bring to us so they team up and were trying to trick us that we get that drink, we were lying and we didn’t know what we ordered (also were trying to convince us that we get extra side dish) so we were fighting about this for like 10 minutes and then finally they gave us our money back.
