Mill Pour Coffee — Restaurant in Osaka

Our first stop in Osaka and walked around 10 minutes with our luggage to come by for coffee here since our Airbnb wasn’t ready.

Not sure if it was just us but coffee wasn’t served to us when it was served to the rest..? I didn’t mind picking it up but we were certainly treated differently.

☕️ coffee was okay and came with art which we liked and came for - chocolate though was similarly more milky than chocolatey like everywhere in Japan

🚬 they allow smoking at their outdoor seats and people were smoking around us which got me standing instead..

Not the best experience but I think it’s well loved by locals and regulars...

Visited here for my breakfast fix on a Sunday morning. My flat white was brewed to perfection. French toast was not too drenched - just a drizzle of honey with some cinnamon powder on it. Price is reasonable for its quality as well!

It’s a quaint little store parked along the street. So it’s probably not suited for big group gatherings but works well if you’re alone or with a partner.

I also liked that it feels vintage and looks different from the usual cafe layout.

My only gripe is that it opens at 9.30am (not 9am). Sat outside the store for a little bit while...

Aussie travellers - here it is, a great flat white (order the cafe latté though to get a flat white). A medium flavour, not too strong, so if you like it strong ask for a.double roast. Fantastic milk texturing with actual milk, not the long life creamer found in a few other places. Japan is having strong growth in cafe culture and this is one of our favorites in the Namba region of Osaka (and close to Shinsaibashi shopping strip). A couple of outdoor seats makes it pleasant to stop and drink from a ceramic cup. Thank you Mill Pour...
