NinjaBar — Restaurant in Tokyo

I was here in November 2023 with my mom and it was our first time in Japan. We entered the bar on a whim and we still talk about it, which reminded me that I should review this place. It has such a cool atmosphere, has bathrooms, karaoke and smoking area. The ninja at the bar speaks English and Japanese and he really brings people together. We ended up visiting several times and every single time was lovely. In the smoking and karaoke area there is another bartender who is also lovely. Ninja Bar is the greatest bar in Asakusa, maybe even all of Tokyo. Hidden away underground in what looks like an old air raid shelter, sits Ninja Bar, a neon-friendly sake shack run by a man who dons a ninja costume at all times. His fly-swattingly fast customer service is like that of a ninja. He wouldn’t tell me his name but he clearly is well trained in martial arts, and sake. I cannot recommend this place enough for those who want to forget where they are because Americans don’t drink sake on a regular basis and sometimes we forget how much we are consuming in one sitting. Not so easy to find but anyway a gem. Just go down the stairs! If you’re looking for anything to else than beer this is your place. They of course serve several pint sizes from tap - which I am totally fine with - it’s not for the craft beer gourmet but for the cocktail lover, whisky admirer and Sake enthusiast.
