Time: 5pm (right at open) on a Monday in June Ordered: Course C & D + “itty bitty sushi” Total price: ~90$

Short version: Come here to each fresh, delicious nigiri sets (&tiny sushi!) with locals. No queue. Quality fish. Friendly service. English is okay!

My boyfriend and I came right at open and were immediately welcomed inside. We were the only foreigners! The person who sat us and the person who took our orders were so friendly and spoke English to us.

Then the chef started to get to work on our sets, explained each one with a book, like so many other reviews shared. I hope he knows how much I valued that! I could only say “arigato” so many times.

Highlights: There was a fish flavored with sakura leaf. That was subtle and unique. My boyfriend loved his shrimp. We both enjoyed uni in our sets. All the tuna was delicious.

This was a really great experience, getting away from the crowds. We’d pay at least twice as much for the same quality and quantity in the States. We did go on a Monday so perhaps it’s busier at other times. I’d like to think the Monday crowd gave me a glimpse of life as Japanese person.

If youre with anyone who doesn’t like raw fish, they have an...

MY FAVORITE SUSHI PLACE IN THE WORLD :) I’ve been coming here since kindergarten with my grandma and I just love here a lot. It might be a lot difficult to talk with the chefs especially asking what are the options for each fish. Even as a Japanese who has been eating for a long time, it’s a bit harder to know everything cuz they have a LOT OF DIFFERENT KINDA OF FISH and other tsumami (small bites). I think for foreigners I recommend tell them to do omakase with some specific price range and they will just serve the best in the season. For whoever more advance in the knowledge of fish, I recommend ordering one sushi of each white (白身), shiny fish (光物), Shell fish (貝類)、awabi, anago, Uni, Ebi, squid, taco, Tuna, and some makimono (rolls) like Negitoro Maki or Torotaku...

I went to this restaurant with my other 5 friends the same evening we arrived in Tokyo so I didn't have any reservation. They gave us a super cozy tatami room in about 5-10 minutes waiting. We all took the same sushi menu (some of us took the 7k one and some took the 9k one) and it was superb! All the staff was super friendly with us and they always tried to find a way to communicate with us about the food ingredients. The food was obviously fresh made, and especially the tuna nigiri throw all of us to the moon, it was really delicious :) A special thanks goes to the chef Daichi (apolozige if i spelled the name wrong) He showed a lot of passion and commitment while presenting all the courses during the evening and truly made us enjoy every bits. Definetly...
