Was excited to give this new place a try. To be absolutely honest, it was a rather disappointing experience.
Iâll start with the food/beverages.
Porky platter (RM65) âď¸âď¸ pork ribs were ok; nothing special â crispy pork belly was 90% fat (photo attached); I understand pork belly is a fatty part but this was just too much. You can judge for yourself. I also understand that pieces vary and can come with different ratios of fat:meat, but I think some degree of quality control is needed before serving. If itâs TOO fatty then it shouldnât be served/cooked at all â babi guling skin was so hard you couldnât even cut it with the knife provided â everything was served at room temperature
Sweet potato fries (RM20) âď¸ âď¸ âď¸âď¸ not bad, though it barely came warm â have had better at multiple other eateries for RM15
Lihing Getek (RM18 - happy hour price) âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ sweet and strong â worth it Cold jasmine tea (RM9) âď¸âď¸ (partly for how it first came, but mostly for how it was handled) when it first came, it was 70% ice and the tea was clearly not brewed for long enough before ice was added because it tasted like water â told a waitress about it and she offered to change the drink. Sincerely wanting to make things simpler for her, we suggested that she bring a cup of hot water instead so that we could take out the bag and brew it ourselves and we could just mix the ice in later on. â she left and returned to say that they would have to charge separately for the hot water and insisted they take back the first glass instead; to brew it again? â the new drink was better but we found it absurd that they would charge for a separate cup of hot water (despite it being a resolution for their slip-up to begin with; and NOT an additional order or just cause we wanted one)
Also, they donât serve plain water. Only mineral water which was RM6, by the way. So, Iâm not sure how they planned on charging us for the hot water, or perhaps they meant charge us a new and separate âhot teaâ.
Service âď¸âď¸âď¸ unhappy with the pork belly and tea situation, we called upon a man who we assumed to be a âmanagerâ to complain â he offered to swap out the pork belly for another portion with less fat â (came back with a piece that was literally no fat đ extreme end of the spectrum) â then, we started by asking him: had we ordered hot tea, if we would be allowed to âtop upâ hot water to the cup without charge, to which he said yes â so when we told him the story (of being told weâd be charged for hot water to brew the teabag longer - due to insufficient brewing before ice was added), he said thatâs the way it is. â â When challenged with the twisted logic of having endless cups of hot water if we had ordered the hot tea, but only one glass of water with the cold tea (just because of temperature difference, we get less water?) he said that thatâs correct đ **Hot tea is RM7, Cold tea is RM9 by the way. â he also unnecessarily added that he saw the staff brew it for about 1.5min before adding ice â (seemed a bit defensive, and who are we kidding, 90seconds is really not considered brewing and is exactly why the tea tasted like water) â he eventually came with a new cup of hot tea about 10mins later â
For me (and many), service and first impressions are very important. It didnât help that the food itself was underwhelming. I can guarantee that unless there was a work event/reunion in which I didnât have a choice, I will not voluntarily patronise this...

Letâs start with the mushroom soup, 1 of the best filled with chunky mushroom dat u can taste n served hot, big bowl n portion just nice with great presentation n at 22 a bowl i tried so hard to justify it but failed miserably. The pork platter @ 65 is reasonable for moderate eaters x3 but put 2 great eaters u may want to order rice w it. As u can c frm the foto u get 3 types of pork n the crispy pork was my least favorite cos it tasted normal n the bali pork lacked the strong herbs n the pork ribs was the only 1 dat had sum flavor, cooked well but lacked the flesh as the bones were big. I may hv njoyed the meal if i went for the full rack of ribs. The dish dat tinkled my mouth was the pork satay. Dat dish i wld recommend to anyone who visits dis plc. I wld hv given dat dish 5/5 but the satay source was dried n tasteless so thy get a generous 4/5. I was, however, shocked to b charged for water. This plc use 2b a pub n i guess biz wasnât so good n now its for daddyz who want to get fattttt. Ambience is nice with a small wine selection n another level up the stairs n a private room for bday parties. After a heavy meal I struggle the steep stairs dwn wen leaving the restaurant. Nice plc for family, friends n dat...
