Was excited to give this new place a try. To be absolutely honest, it was a rather disappointing experience.

I’ll start with the food/beverages.

Porky platter (RM65) ⭐️⭐️ pork ribs were ok; nothing special crispy pork belly was 90% fat (photo attached); I understand pork belly is a fatty part but this was just too much. You can judge for yourself. I also understand that pieces vary and can come with different ratios of fat:meat, but I think some degree of quality control is needed before serving. If it’s TOO fatty then it shouldn’t be served/cooked at all babi guling skin was so hard you couldn’t even cut it with the knife provided everything was served at room temperature

Sweet potato fries (RM20) ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ not bad, though it barely came warm have had better at multiple other eateries for RM15

Lihing Getek (RM18 - happy hour price) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ sweet and strong worth it Cold jasmine tea (RM9) ⭐️⭐️ (partly for how it first came, but mostly for how it was handled) when it first came, it was 70% ice and the tea was clearly not brewed for long enough before ice was added because it tasted like water told a waitress about it and she offered to change the drink. Sincerely wanting to make things simpler for her, we suggested that she bring a cup of hot water instead so that we could take out the bag and brew it ourselves and we could just mix the ice in later on. she left and returned to say that they would have to charge separately for the hot water and insisted they take back the first glass instead; to brew it again? the new drink was better but we found it absurd that they would charge for a separate cup of hot water (despite it being a resolution for their slip-up to begin with; and NOT an additional order or just cause we wanted one)

Also, they don’t serve plain water. Only mineral water which was RM6, by the way. So, I’m not sure how they planned on charging us for the hot water, or perhaps they meant charge us a new and separate “hot tea”.

Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️ unhappy with the pork belly and tea situation, we called upon a man who we assumed to be a “manager” to complain he offered to swap out the pork belly for another portion with less fat ✅ (came back with a piece that was literally no fat 😅 extreme end of the spectrum) then, we started by asking him: had we ordered hot tea, if we would be allowed to “top up” hot water to the cup without charge, to which he said yes so when we told him the story (of being told we’d be charged for hot water to brew the teabag longer - due to insufficient brewing before ice was added), he said that’s the way it is. ❌ When challenged with the twisted logic of having endless cups of hot water if we had ordered the hot tea, but only one glass of water with the cold tea (just because of temperature difference, we get less water?) he said that that’s correct 😌 **Hot tea is RM7, Cold tea is RM9 by the way. he also unnecessarily added that he saw the staff brew it for about 1.5min before adding ice ❌ (seemed a bit defensive, and who are we kidding, 90seconds is really not considered brewing and is exactly why the tea tasted like water) he eventually came with a new cup of hot tea about 10mins later ✅

For me (and many), service and first impressions are very important. It didn’t help that the food itself was underwhelming. I can guarantee that unless there was a work event/reunion in which I didn’t have a choice, I will not voluntarily patronise this...

Taste: 4/5 Presentation: 5/5 Portion size: 4/5 4 Temperature: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Value for money: 4/5 Overall: 4/5

Let’s start with the mushroom soup, 1 of the best filled with chunky mushroom dat u can taste n served hot, big bowl n portion just nice with great presentation n at 22 a bowl i tried so hard to justify it but failed miserably. The pork platter @ 65 is reasonable for moderate eaters x3 but put 2 great eaters u may want to order rice w it. As u can c frm the foto u get 3 types of pork n the crispy pork was my least favorite cos it tasted normal n the bali pork lacked the strong herbs n the pork ribs was the only 1 dat had sum flavor, cooked well but lacked the flesh as the bones were big. I may hv njoyed the meal if i went for the full rack of ribs. The dish dat tinkled my mouth was the pork satay. Dat dish i wld recommend to anyone who visits dis plc. I wld hv given dat dish 5/5 but the satay source was dried n tasteless so thy get a generous 4/5. I was, however, shocked to b charged for water. This plc use 2b a pub n i guess biz wasn’t so good n now its for daddyz who want to get fattttt. Ambience is nice with a small wine selection n another level up the stairs n a private room for bday parties. After a heavy meal I struggle the steep stairs dwn wen leaving the restaurant. Nice plc for family, friends n dat...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant during Christmas Eve 2024, and I can confidently say it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of amazing—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You could tell that the chefs truly care about their craft, as every bite exceeded expectations.

What truly stood out was the thoughtful and attentive staff. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcome and took the time to understand our preferences. It was clear that they genuinely wanted to ensure we had the best dining experience possible. They were quick to offer recommendations based on our tastes, and when it came to special requests, they went above and beyond to accommodate us.

The level of attentiveness displayed by the team was superb. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring our glasses were always full, and checking in at just the right moments. The attention to detail in every aspect of our experience—from the food to the service—was remarkable.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience. The combination of incredible food, thoughtful staff, and impeccable service made it a truly unforgettable meal. I can’t...

Hello KK! It's been years since I last visited KK. Many new eateries to try out and this was our first stop upon landing! It was keamatan week by the way and we get to try some limited edition dishes. This review is a bit late but as I was browsing my photos, felt like I just need to post them. See more in photos. The place was easy to find, just behind Hyatt Centric hotel. I was the tour guide hence it was my pick. The pork dishes looked great on previous reviews and it caught my attention. Take note this is a non-halal place. Food was indeed great here, me = roast pork fan. So the food felt like home in my tummy! The pork ribs were tender, soft and slips right off the bone. My favourite was the pork bites, I forgot the name. It's like the namyu marinated pork. That was sinful! On top of that, we tried out the local cocktails with fancy names. I love Adik Manis and the Mana saya tau saya mabuk. It was a truly satisfying experience to start off our KK holiday! Boss was there, and he was such a nice guy too!

Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - unhappy with the pork belly and tea situation, we called upon a man who we assumed to be a “manager” to complain - he offered to swap out the pork belly for another portion with less fat ✅ (came back with a piece that was literally no fat 😅 extreme end of the spectrum) - then, we started by asking him: had we ordered hot tea, if we would be allowed to “top up” hot water to the cup without charge, to which he said yes - so when we told him the story (of being told we’d be charged for hot water to brew the teabag longer - due to insufficient brewing before ice was added), he said that’s the way it is. ❌ - When challenged with the twisted logic of having endless cups of hot water if we had ordered the hot tea, but only one glass of water with the cold tea (just because of temperature difference, we get less water?) he said that that’s correct 😌 **Hot tea is RM7, Cold tea is RM9 by the way. - he also unnecessarily added that he saw the staff brew it for about 1.5min before adding ice ❌ (seemed a bit defensive, and who are we kidding, 90seconds is really not considered brewing and is exactly why the tea tasted like water) - he eventually came with a new cup of hot tea about 10mins later ✅ For me (and many), service and first impressions are very important. It didn’t help that the food itself was underwhelming. I can guarantee that unless there was a work event/reunion in which I didn’t have a choice, I will not voluntarily patronise this place again.

1. Taste: 4/5 2. Presentation: 5/5 3. Portion size: 4/5 4 Temperature: 4/5 5. Service: 4/5 6. Value for money: 4/5 7. Overall: 4/5 Let’s start with the mushroom soup, 1 of the best filled with chunky mushroom dat u can taste n served hot, big bowl n portion just nice with great presentation n at 22 a bowl i tried so hard to justify it but failed miserably. Nice plc for family, friends n dat impressive date.
