1st experience • Had breakfast. • Staff were really friendly. • The food was really good. Especially the pancake. • A very memorable part of our trip in penang.

2nd experience • Came asking if they had the breakfast menu only for the staff to say, “actually this is not a breakfast place. We specialise in our chicken, pork, efc;”. For identification purposes, the staff was the chinese dude with glasses and the 2010 bieber haircut. • No worries. We ordered their chicken. Absolute mediocrity. Mac & cheese was bland. Fried chicken batter coating tastes like something you’d get from pasar malam aunties (who’d sell it for 1/4 the price mind you) • Rather than defending yourself as “not a breakfast place”, I’d suggest for you to start being a breakfast place. Visited them when they are having the temporary menu due to the RMCO. The portion is good. Food is on the salty side. The Ghost Pepper Honey Chicken Chop is good. The crispy chicken chop is coated with sweet spicy sauce. The salad side dish can be better (when compared to photos of their usual serving). The Fried Chicken Breakfast Set is quite heavy for a breakfast set. I believe their usual breakfast which consist of croissant and sausage would be a better option. Just be caution that the latte is not the usual caffe latte made from espresso machine. Definitely would be better if they offer coffees made from espresso machine. Environment is comfortable. During my recent visit to Pepper Salt, I was completely let down by the service despite the food being fantastic. The female server’s attitude was shockingly rude, completely ruining what should have been an enjoyable meal. The chef mistakenly swapped my side dish with my friend’s, and instead of correcting it herself, she told us in an impolite manner to switch them on our own. Her approach was abrupt and dismissive, showing little respect for basic service standards.

To make matters worse, I was served a side salad that I never ordered, and when I brought this to her attention, she brushed it off, saying there was “nothing she could do” as it was already prepared.
