One good thing about this hotel is about its strategic location. Other than that I will only give 1/10 for this hotel. Terrible service, fyi there’s no telephone in the room, no tissue box and etc only have small bottles of shower gel and shampoo. When we checked in request for rooms in the same floor, the receptionist said not possible as only have 2 rooms in each floor. So we didn’t wanted to prolong the conversation and went to our respective rooms. The tv on our parents room was spoilt, requested maintenance to check on it, the receptionist said that oh not only in that room the whole hotel tv service is interrupted. So we went to our room to check on the tv bingo it was working. Called the receptionist again, she claimed that no maintenance if u want to change room only can be done in the morning. Btw it’s a newly built hotel in 2022, but if you see the door frame it’s so dusty and toilet sink have moulds. So disappointed with this hotel and with Agoda. Requested for extra key card receptionist said no more they have ordered but didn’t receive it yet. The second day waited almost few hours for the housekeeping to make up the room and clean the toilet, and the housekeeping staff got very angry that we told him to clean the toilet . And he started to bang things when cleaning. Throughout our stay they only sweep the floor once. It was not clean too as found hairs under the table and chair. I was too tired to complain and decided just to check out earlier on the day last day of our trip. I have stayed at city villa hotel at jb their rooms are far better then this hotel. It’s not worth staying here only worth for the locations as it’s nearby the eateries. The management should really look into this matter as the cleanliness of this...
Read moreI would give this hotel a 10/10 rating if I could do it. We’ve spent 2 weeks touring around the Georgetown area and found this gem of a hotel towards the end of our trip. We actually stayed in a hotel a few blocks from it when we first arrived in Georgetown. The staff are amazing so friendly and helpful, the building is well maintained and well thought out. We asked for a room with a view and it was very roomy and well organized. It’s in a great location that puts you in walking distance of old Georgetown and also a short GRAB ride to anywhere in the city. It exceeded my expectations!!! We came to Penang to see if it would be a good place to retire. ||CitiVilla will be our first destination as we plan to return next winter for an extended stay.||A word of advice to anyone coming to Malaysia and other countries in Asia. Windowless rooms are common and be aware that they don’t always meet western fire safety regulations for exits. Always ask to view the room before...
Read moreFriendly staff for the duration of our stay. They charge a deposit of 50 Ringgit for the room key card which is refunded when you check out. Housekeeping is not so good, as the room was pretty dusty, and one day we received one towel with dried blood splatters which we took to reception to exchange for a new one. Coffee facilities in the room with unfortunately only 3 in 1 coffee, no black coffee available. Television only has Malayan channels which was a bit disappointing. Location is alright if you have your own transportation or are okay walking to a bus stop a few hundred meters away. Sidewalks are limited or not there, so sometimes you have to walk on the street. Taking the bus is very cheap just a few Ringgits. Waking up was easy as every morning at 5:55 the mosque would start praying over the...
