G FORTUNE HOTEL PENANG — Hotel in George Town

I don't want to leave negative comments , but my experience staying here obliges me to tell everyone who is intending to stay here , ONE THING IS FOR SURE I HAVE FEELED THAT UNWORTHY ! the hotel's owner has consulted customers in a black market way and rules that have never been found anywhere else , found a hotel with a very good entrance , but when you check in , the pictures I share that was the room i was in , the washbasin had no water to use , at 11 pm suddenly there was a power outage and until 10 o'clock am the next day it has just been repaired , i slept hotly all night 12hrs , I stay here or 2 nights I given simple requests such as a change of new towels and drinking water , 1 pillow case , 1 toilet paper - 1 plastic bag , AND don't have to clean my room ! but no (HOTEL OWNER TELL ME THAT I WILL HAVE TO PAY MORE FEES IF I MADE THAT REQUEST)...I felt like I've been tricked... I TELL THE HOTEL OWNER THAT HE HAS CREATED HIS TROUBLE FOR LATER WITHOUT HIS KNOWLEDGE (origin of cause and effect)..I am obliged to write these comments to avoid the same situation as me if anyone intends to...

Be warned, booking here does not necessarily mean staying here. We actually ended up being put in one of their other properties (they have three) a further 15 minute walk out of town. Whilst I can't tell you about this property, here is my review for where we got moved to:

G FORTUNE Guest House @ Victoria Green

It was really quite disappointing. The bedroom itself was ok; really hard pillows but it was clean and spacious. The kitchen and bathroom area however, were both terrible. The bin in the photo was overflowing for the first 2 days of our stay, half a toilet seat, scum in the plug hole, toilet roll was not topped up.

All of this would have been much less of a problem for us if it wasn't for the price. They are charging TWICE the price of the place we went to next, which has a very similar layout, is right in the centre of town, and has none of the issues we...

I stayed here in 2023, horrifying experience. There was a huge bloodstain on the sheet, bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. TV was blasting through the night and people would come in at crazy hours shouting. Tried putting the pillow over my head could not cancel out the noise as I contemplated suffocating myself with it instead. Worst night's sleep. The money was refunded when I confronted them about my experience only to be taken out of my bank account a year later. You're better off sleeping on a quiet street, at least that's free. 1 star because 0 is...
