Second time visit here, there are various of options for the parts of pork.
Service: not bad, but can be improved. I like one of the waiter there. He is from Bangladesh and his English not really good, but his working attitude is very good!!! Even though sometimes he couldn’t understand you but he still trying his best to serve you. The bad thing about here is most of the workers talk very softly and I a bit hard to hear what they saying😂
Pork🐖: The texture is different for every parts but the taste and the way they cooked was the same. They are famous with loin but I like the one with more fat (jowl). I would definitely come back for the pork.
Salad🥦: as I said l, their pork is really nice. The pork belly on the salad is awesome. The taste of the salad is very special, they served it with cranberry sauce.
Salmon🐟:maybe I been always eating salmon in my daily life, I feel like the salmon is nice but so so. They served it with marmalade sauce which is quite special due to the sweet and sourly taste. However, If compared with the pork, the salmon is quite normal.
Scallops on potato gratin🥔: I like the cheese with potato. However, the portion is small and there is only 3 scallops.
Roasted chicken🐓: I personally like Nando’s chicken a lot. This tasted like the much better version of Nando’s. It is more juicy and bigger in size.
Lemon curd cheese cake🍋: this is the best in my life!!!! No other comment. But the portion is small.
Tiramisu🍰: can taste the alcohol and is nice, but not the best and the portion is small.
🫶I would highly recommend you guys to come here for the pork and the lemon cheese cake!!! However the bad thing about here is the table very small. It is better if they serve the dish one by one for a...
Read moreAfter seeing many positive and good reviews online, we decided to have our dinner at this restaurant for our short trip in Malacca. However, we were all greatly disappointed and found the foods are not worth the price maybe because we have quite high expectations for the experience.
Firstly, they named their “Prawn” aglio olio pasta as “Tiger Prawn” so we expected it supposed to be Tiger Prawn and that’s the reason why I ordered it as I usually don’t prefer the frozen prawn, especially with this range of price. Until it was served, I immediately realized it was clearly frozen prawn instead of the tiger prawns they claimed it to be. (as the pic you could see, I am just writing the fact) Moreover, the texture and taste obviously proved that it was frozen prawns because some parts were still cold. As I am a prawn lover and have more experience in eating different kinds of prawns, I can easily distinguish what is the difference between “Frozen” and “Tiger” prawns. The crucial point is that the price charged was the same as that for Tiger prawn spaghetti in most of the restaurants, so it was by no means a cheap and lower price.
Secondly, the baby pork ribs were not soft enough and it is super hard to pull off from its bone. And it is really not as impressive as what is mostly said online...
The overall experience is very normal, I would say it is just a normal restaurant and the food is not equal to the prices that they charged. It probably won't have a second time for me to...
Read moreBrutally honest review. Had dinner on Valentine’s Day. Booked around a month earlier. Reached for our dinner slot and they told us no seats in the main dining space, asked us to wait. 20 minutes later, still no seats and told us only had seats at the semi outdoor waiting area. It’s by the main door and had loud club music when trishaws passed by. I was about to walk off. Asked the boss and got a seat in the main dining 5 minutes later. It was a set meal. We got the chicken leg and iberico pork as main. The creamy prawn soup, wasn’t creamy, more watery. And the soup is only one bowl, had to share. The mains came, but they forgot our appetisers. So we ate the mains and appetisers together. The appetisers were very forgettable and not good at all. The mains, chicken leg was normal but the pork was moist. The sides that was with the mains, quite bland. The desert, a chocolate feuille was also very normal. Again had to share dessert. The white wine pairing was not bad though. To be fair, it might have been because of the busy Valentine’s Day that the team just couldn’t cope with. But as I spent RM450 for two, I expected a little better. Service staff were okay but not very accommodating, food was very normal for the price, and ambience wasn’t the great. Only saving grace is that the boss is a very nice and friendly guy. On a normal day, food might have been better. But I probably wouldn’t visit again because of the...
