McDonald's — Restaurant in New York

I've been here numerous times and have no complaints about the food or the staff. As mentioned in other reviews here, there is a problem with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and the "transients" that call the place "home".

I'm not sure if there is a homeless shelter nearby or if people just love to hang out in the place, but there are always less fortunate people there especially in the morning. Just this morning I've witnessed the NYPD escort a woman out of the restaurant that was loitering. There are signs throughout the restaurant that clearly state No Loitering and that there is a 30 min time limit. Now that the weather is getting colder, people are just looking to stay warm.

Unfortunately, McDonalds is in a difficult position. As a former General Manager of a fast food restaurant, I used to deal with "rough" teenagers and "undesirables" especially at night. I wanted my paying customers to have a friendly, warm and inviting environment to eat in with their families. The "rough" crowd made that very difficult to maintain. I, like McDs started with signs. The McDs in this review also has full time security to help keep the people safe and moving.

You see, you just can't stand at the door and not allow people to come into McDs. The best you can do is try to manage it. I give them a lot of credit for trying to do just that. I also give credit to the employees as they have to deal with it all day long. As far as the cleanliness, they can do a much better job there. I can't speak for all the people given Lobby Duty, but I've never seen one with a cleaning bottle and rag to clean the tables. So, even I had to sit at a table this morning that wasn't clean. It wasn't exactly disgusting, but it wasn't clean either.

I've never been in the bathrooms because I try to avoid them at all costs. I've seen the people that come out of there and also the bathrooms at Penn Station down the block. It can't be pleasant in there and frankly, I wouldn't want to clean it either.

There are other McDs in the area, but this one is at times convenient for me. You can't beat the price for breakfast in that area in NYC. I would NEVER bring my family there. But for a quick stop in the morning, it's ok.

So, the 3 stars are just for the environment, the "ambiance" and the cleanliness. The food and the staff are great, it's just a "difficult" place to eat in given...

So let's McDonald's used to be chaos and crazy on the outside and in. But after closing off seating area during the pandemic, things immediately became less chaotic. -- a bit weird however to not have any open seating really even now. That means no sit down and eat just FYI grab your food and head out.

Although things are less chaotic which goes to the credit of their unflappable security staff 👍🏾 the wait time to get your food, especially later at night can sometimes test one's patience. So be prepared to wait regardless if it's a mobile order or at their kiosk. Apropos the kiosk: they won't say it however you quickly realize ordering from the kiosk is there preferred method for guests. If a kiosk errs on sending your order or you need to pay cash, be prepared to wait until you're noticed and then Make it known you need to order. -- I learned that standing in front of a cashier staring at the menu anxiously expecting someone to ask would I like to order it's pointless. You have to put in some energy and effort to get someone over to take your order.... —All that said, usually the person handing out completed orders is friendly and courteous even when busy. I never have gotten cold or even warm food from them even at night. My orders have always been accurate, hot and seemingly made to order.

To wrap things up, I'll say this: I could also order from another late night McDonald's two blocks away across from the Garden If I felt this location wasn't up the par, but majority of the time this is my goes to Mickey D's despite the lengthy weight times and lack of...

This is the worst McDonald's location that I visit my experience going to this restaurant today on my lunch was horrible i ordered the $ $3.99 bundle of the french fries and 6 pieces of chicken Mc nuggets I ask the food service worker who was behind the counter can she change the french fries because they were not fresh the store Manager going to tell her iam not changing them in a very rude manner i did get upset because of the way she handled the whole situation & told her about her bad customer service she giving me i guess the Manager got upset and told the employee at the register to give me my it was fine by me . what makes this even more crazy is the fact a new batch of french fries was already dropped before I even i even was to her side and ask for new french fries or she had to do was give me what i requested all this wasted unnecessary energy on nothing serious.
