Almond's Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Pokhara

I had a really bad experience with the his restaurant. We specifically asked the manager if they could make the food ready in 10-15 mins. And the manager said yes. We even mention that one of our crew member needs to eat in 15 mins due to medical reason. They took 45 mins to bring the daal bhat. In addition to this ok be of our order was chicken fried rice and the chicken was smelling and my nephew vomitted after an hour. Another fish was grilled chicken and they brought us boiled chicken covered with a barbeque sauce. Upon complaining about the grilled chicken they said "grill vaneko estai ta ho". In the daal bhaat set the mix veg was full of potatoes and nothing and green saag was full of sand. We could not eat it. Super horrible experience. Plus staffs were lousy and aggressive. Do not recommend this place. Two years back they were good. In two years quality and standard both...

This place used to be fun and had good food 5-10years back. I don't know what happened but this time it was bad, very bad. We ordered buff steam momo, it wasn't as good as before and then we ordered Naan, butter chicken for which this place is known for and that too was soooo bad. The gravy was so damm sweet and tasted like pumpkin, and we asked if they put pumpkin to make the gravy thick and that's why it became sweet, and the waitress said NO WE ADD SUGAR FOR SWEETNESS(Also for the chicken in Butter chicken they had deep fried chicken, I have never had Butter chicken with deep fried chicken and it tasted stale) . As soon as I heard, told them that the food was a total disappointment and we left. Need to maintain food quality or the decade of hard work for ALMONDS name to stand in Pokhara...

We were looking for a lunch place that serve local food near lakeside and this place popped up on google search. There was not a single customer when we arrived and even after we left. Prices are very reasonable and we ordered the special momos, paneer tikka, butter chicken and garlic naan. Despite being the only customer, service was painfully slow. They brought the momos first then the next dish and there were a long gap between all the dishes. The chilli momos were really good but I found the butter chicken too sweet...
