They say you cannot judge a book by its cover. No place proves that more than Lotti's.

From the street, the place looks terrific. But then they start serving the food, and bring you the bill, and you realize how sub-par the place is.

We went there for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a 65 euro/per person prix fixe. Amuse bouche was okay -- something with cream, some kind of fish roe, in a sea urchin shell.

It was all downhill from there.

The first course -- a salmon dish -- was tasteless. Was it smoked salmon? I think so. But it was so absent any taste I could not tell. For the second course, our party chose beef and monkfish -- both were terrible. Overcooked -- the monkfish in particular -- and terribly disappointing.

Despite the fact it was a three-course prix fixe, we did not stay for dessert -- we simply couldn't take another disappointment on Christmas Eve. They didn't have the Malbec they listed on the menu, so they pushed another Malbec -- a 10 euro bottle -- for 46 euros. Criminal.

Service was unctuous, but neither professional nor prompt.

Altogether, the meal cost over 300 euros. Throughout almost the entire meal, I was wishing we had gone to the Indian restaurant around the corner from where we were staying.

A couple of nights before, we had gone to the The Duchess in the W Hotel. The meal there, which cost only a modest amount more, was outstanding and delicious. This meal was poor and unenjoyable.

Do NOT go to Lotti's. Spend your money somewhere -- anywhere -- else. It's a rip-off, and they don't deserve your patronage. I am sorry I went there; if you go, you...

I had told the waitress that I had a nut allergy. I ordered the hummus, the menu did not indicate this item had nuts, but I always let the waitress know about my allergy, as I have a serious nut allergy. She did not write the order down.

The hummus was brought over and I assumed the topping was z'atar, as I had already informed the waitress of my allergy. I took a bite and started having an allergic reaction. I had to call the waitress over, who said 'maybe there were peanuts or pistachios in the hummus'. I had her double check and she came back and said 'yes there are nuts, and also may be pecans and walnuts'. I was mortified. I took my medicine and said I wasn't eating there and left.

I had come for a Sunday Brunch to celebrate the UK Mothers day. It was my first Mothers day so I thought it would be a really special day, and my 10 month old was with me too. The entire experience was completely ruined and - I have had this happen to me before, and it manifested as a food anxiety and took me a lot of time to trust restaurants and in eating out.

I complained to the staff member behind the reception desk and asked to file a formal complaint. I spoke to David behind the reception desk, who took my details and said I would receive an e-mail but I did not receive anything. I also suggested two points of improvement.

Waiters to write down orders on paper To outline allergens on the menu, or to give customers an allergen menu to check...

From the moment we walked into Lotti’s, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and filled with the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The decor is tastefully modern, yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.

What truly set this experience apart, though, was the exceptional service, particularly from Duna. She was not only professional but radiated warmth and attentiveness that made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. Her recommendations were spot-on, from the wine pairing to the standout dishes, each of which exceeded our expectations in both presentation and taste.

Duna’s knowledge of the menu and her genuine passion for the food was evident, and her friendly demeanor made the entire evening even more enjoyable. She went above and beyond, ensuring every need was met, and her attention to detail truly enhanced our dining experience.

The food itself was a masterpiece—each dish beautifully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We particularly enjoyed [mention specific dishes], which were bursting with flavor and creativity.

Overall, Lotti’s offers an unforgettable dining experience, and thanks to Duna's exceptional service, we felt truly cared for. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for great food and even...

Great brunch food, lovely atmosphere with the slowest, most too-cool-to-serve-anyone wait staff. Shame. Rarely feel something merits a bad review, but when it’s a choice, maybe this will help others? Lotti’s Benny was superior eggs Benedict. Pastrami sandwich was excellent with a crisp sauerkraut slaw. Avo mash was well seasoned and fresh. Great brioche bread. Would love to tell you how the drinks and other sides were, but never got them with the meal - asked four different wait staff for orange juice and vodka. It came when they cleared the plates, as did the Bloody Mary. Would have really enjoyed the meal and a lot to go back for… especially the chef(s), but do not recommend when you spend 2.5 hours and never get everything you ordered, especially the drinks. Of note, table ratio to wait staff 1:2, with a hostess and bartender. Many other guests in the bar and restaurant-lounge went to the bar themselves or the host stand to ask for things (again). Also for context, love restaurants, love restaurant staffs, and own multiple restaurants - left appropriate gratuity for the bill anyway because the job is hard. Would have addressed politely and privately (never any discount, but for the next guests), but no one could be found that was interested. All staff very busy, but with very little guest related work. Hope it was an anomaly or will help the next shift.

We had dinner at this restaurant on one of first nights staying in tbr hotel —the service was slow & unattentive and the food was subpar. We did not return to the restaurant for any food, coffee, or drinks due to the low level of service we received on our first visit. We ordered a chip and caviar appetizer, which was fine. But we also ordered the Cesar salad, add avocado, bacon, and chicken. The bacon was actually not in the salad and when I asked the server to remove it from the bill, she looked at the salad, pointed to an anchovy, and said “looks like it’s right there but sure I’ll take it off.” This is a very smug remark and we felt It quite rude and unecesssry, since there was in fact no bacon. Additionally, there were maybe 3 chunks of avocado and there were 4 tiny pieces of chicken; not what we expected for an additional 6 euros (9 if you count the non existent bacon) making this an over thirty euro salad. The staff in the restaurant were not busy, yet seemed to have a difficult time with the 4 (total) tables that were dining during our time there. Would happily stay at The Hoxton again, as the hotel staff seem to be more organized, but we will never eat at this restaurant again. Incredibly poor service and disappointing food.

I have mixed thoughts after inconsistent experiences here. 1. BAR: The bar has an energy. It gets very lively, mostly with couples or pairs of people in conversation over drinks. Recommend the crisps with the smoked caviar dip (really, try it). 2. A.M. COFFEE AT THE BAR: The chef called out one day during our stay, and we could only get coffee before they got a replacement chef. We had the BEST CAPPUCINO ever at the bar. 3. BRUNCH: Eggs Benny was...meh. good egg and bacon, but the hollandaise was flavorless and the grilled bread tasted like burned butter. It came out like warm. 4. DINNER: The chicken for 2 is amazing! Try it. We had it twice during our stay. Both times though, the service was spotty at best and downright poor at worst. The second night, they brought all of our food at once after we waited quite a while to order, (starters and main), the baguette looked morning like the first night... It looked more like crostini, and we waited 20-30 minutes for a soft drink.
