Came here in the morning. Had about 1.5 hours until our taxi was to pick us up for a tour. Our orders were placed for two people. Only one drink came out in the span of 25 minutes. We tried to be patient as we noticed there were a lot of people with few servers. By the one hour mark, we followed up on our second drink and our breakfast items. They asked for our orders again because they lost our order and have to make it again. They were insistent that the food would be done fast and quick when we tried to cancel the order. It wasn’t. Another 30 minutes later, we had to go because our ride was arriving. We were about to walk out and pay for the one coffee that arrived. Because the food was finished 1.5 hours later and as we were to leave, we paid for it and took it to go. This place is frequented often for the view of the cathedral and instagram worthy presentation. I’m not sure if the slow service is attributed to the small kitchen or lack of resources. I’d say definitely try this place, BUT, only on a day when you can afford to lose some time. Based on reviews seems like it’s a toss up and people complained...

I originally really liked going to this cafe because of the view and their drinks. However, during my most recent visit, the service was not up to par. Not only did we show up 10 mins after the said open times, we were told that the cafe actually opened at 7:30am instead of 7am. So take the operating hours on Google with a grain of salt. The person that was on the cash register was also a bit rude. Before leaving, I had asked if it was okay if I could use the washroom. She said yes and I waited for her by the cash register to open the door. Keep in mind there was no one with us so she wasn't helping another customer. She told me to wait outside, there was no out by the cash register with us. I followed her instructions and waited for 5 minutes outside like she had said and when I came back in, she was just standing by the cash register with no inclination that she was going to open the door for me. We ended up just paying the bill and heading to the airport...

We ordered two orange iced coffees, but they tasted terrible! They were basically made of water and didn’t contain any real orange extract. We told them about it, but they weren’t helpful at all. One staff member initially agreed to replace them, but then a second staff member insisted we had to pay again.

In such a touristy place, they can’t expect to survive speaking only rude Spanish with zero English. They even struggled to show us where the restroom was. We returned the two undrinkable orange iced coffees and ordered two cappuccinos instead. At the last minute, we were told they only accepted cash at the register.

It was a terrible experience overall. Please don’t go there — nobody deserves to be treated so disrespectfully...

The coffees and drinks we ordered were good. The croissant was ok and the cheese ham sandwich was awful, extremely dry with cheese on one side and the other hard and dry as a rock. It was impossible to put it on top and cut it with the knife. Asked for butter to attempt to eat the bread, but they did not have any. The fries were ok, but came without ketchup, which we had to ask for and it took a while to get. The employees looked very stressed and overworked, the cashier (owner maybe) gave expression as though she is doing customers a favor. Clearly a place where food is made without any passion. We decided to pack and give the hard bread to a street dog, which also had a hard time trying to chew. Go to this place only for coffee.

Among my top 3 cafe choices in Cusco because of the ambience and the amazing view (if you're lucky to get one of the 3 spots overlooking the plaza). I also had the great pleasure of meeting Erica - coffee and the Cappuccino Cafe have been in her family for multiple generations, and she was so kind to share a bit of her history with me, tell me about her family's coffee processing plant in the Sacred Valley, and show me a machine they use to process coffee right inside the cafe. While I was there, her husband gave an interview on the cafe. You can tell from the both of them their sincere passion for coffee and their love of sharing that passion with visitors near and far.
