I came here for a late lunch, specifically because I have been looking to support locally owned restaurants, and Il Olivo was recommended by another restauranteur. While the ambiance and wait staff were very nice, the dining experience left room for improvement.

To start I ordered one of their lemonades, which was tasty, but way too sweet.

I had a half order of the caesar salad with chicken as an appetizer. The presentation was nice, but the dressing lacked in flavor. For the main dish I ordered the homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli. This was beautifully plated and quite tasty. The sage butter sauce had a wonderful sage aroma and wasn’t overpowering or oily at all. The added parmesan gave the dish a perfect little kick.

My verdict: I would come back if I am...

Excellent restaurant - the service is amazing - Miguel our waiter was very helpful and passionate about the food and service he provides (they speak great english), it looks lovely with balcony tables, plenty seats and an open kitchen. The menu is in Spanish and English with lots of yummy choices and something for everyone. AND the food is delicious - I had the Cannelloni with slow cooked beef and 3 cheese sauce and my boyfriend the trout pizza. They were both amazing. Definately reccomend coming here, it's looks new hence why it doesn't have many reviews but the place is fantastic! Also it's great...

Unexpected gastronomy experience in the middle of a very touristy neighborhood. Delicious Italian food. The pasta was excellent (and I lived in Italy, so am quite strict when it comes to pasta). Not overly complicated, simple flavors, very well executed.

Had the carbonara, lasagna bolognese,. bruschietta de trucha, tiramisu and lava cake and a bottle of Chilean Sauvignon.

The wine card is quite limited but still does the trick.

Very much enjoyed being able to see the kitchen brigade at work.

Go there, you...
