Jack’s Café – A Cozy Culinary Gem in the Heart of Cusco Tucked away on Calle Ruinas, Jack’s Café is a delightful blend of comfort food, warm ambiance, and top-notch service. Whether you’re a weary traveler or a local looking for a hearty bite, this spot delivers every time. The menu is impressively diverse, offering everything from fluffy banana pancakes and huevos rancheros to rich soups and towering burgers. Portions are generous—perfect for refueling after a day exploring the Sacred Valley. Their coffee? Smooth, bold, and just what you need to kickstart your morning or unwind in the afternoon. What really sets Jack’s apart is the vibe. The space feels modern yet cozy, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It’s no surprise this place has a loyal following and often becomes a “go-to” for visitors. If you’re in Cusco and craving a satisfying meal with a side of great energy, Jack’s Café is a must-visit

You have to get breakfast here! Reviews are not overrated, it really is a top rated spot in Cusco. This was our second attempt to get breakfast here. Our first attempt was met with a long line of people on the street. We recommend you come early. We came around 7:30 am, but I'm thinking before 9:00 am should be alright. Cute place at Cuesta San Blas (a beautiful street). The staff are very friendly. We didn't know what to get so we ordered 3 dishes, but she warned us that they serve big portions. She was right! Giant plates started coming out in less that 15 mins. I had the Big Fluffy Pancakes with caramelized bananas. It's like a dessert! 3 stacks swimming in caramel and banana. Satisfied my sweet tooth. The wife had Veggie Plate that was seasoned perfectly. We might skip lunch today! Prices are not to bad for huge dishes at $10 a plate. Absolutely No. 1!

Would say Jack's does not live up to the hype. We were recommended Jack's - specifically their alpaca sandwich and decided to try it for lunch. We went and got a chocolate milkshake and their alpaca sandwich. The venue was empty - even though they have a massive space. Service was ok - but it felt like our waiter did not really want to be there. The mocha milkshake was amazing. It was a really good amount of coffee and sweetness - making it very easy to drink. I think it also helped that we had it with the alpaca sandwich. The alpaca sandwich was a major disappointment. The bread was soggy from the alpaca making it difficult to grab without the bread breaking. We also found it to be extremely salty. Given the large amount of food options in the city - I'd give Jack's a skip and find a great lunch elsewhere.

Overrated. For the reviews, we thought this was going to be an amazing place but it was a disappointment. We came really early since the locals told us is usually busy, and the waitress was very dry. Not good morning and rushing us into order. When I asked what came with the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and bacon (referring to sides like potatoes or bread) she looked at me like I was stupid and said “that’s what comes with it scramble eggs, mushrooms and bacon” with a “duh” attitude. She was definitely a little rude compared with the extremely nice, lovely staff in many other restaurants in Cusco. I ordered the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and bacon to be very surprised that the mushrooms and bacon are not scrambled in the eggs but instead are placed in the side. Not big deal. Flavors were average. My fiancé asked for the pancakes which he couldn’t even finish. The pancakes where thick and grainy, like if you were eating an uncooked bread. Definitely I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. To the owner: I heard from locals you are a nice guy, but your staff attitude is definitely not so nice. Maybe is the fact you guys are busy and they feel they don’t need to try hard. Staff attitude...

We got there yesterday and service + food were pretty average until we found not just one, but two long pieces of human hair inside our sandwhich. We complained and and all Jacks’ staff did was taking the plate away and not even giving us a single apologize. After 15 minutes of waiting and being completely ignored we called the staff and before we could even ask about the mistake we were told the sandwich was not being charged and they left. All of a sudden and before we could even process such bad moment they showed up with the bill, while we were still eating the cake and coffee we had order besides that sandwich! Finally they excused and said that foreigners/tourist like to have a “fast” service, then, we expressed our thoughts and how disappointed we felt but got not empathy from their end. We have being going to Jacks for over 10 years and it seems they renewed not for better but for worse. It felt not just as mistake from their staff but it rather felt as act of segregation of local fellows. We have definitely had a...

Omg this place was a BIG disappointment! I ordered a hot chocolate, really looking forward to have a great Cacao, since Peru, specially Cusco, has one of the best cacao varieties in the world. The hot chocolate I ordered was made from cocoa powder ( not even cacao), super sugary, with processes cow milk. I couldn’t believe it. BIG NO!

Don’t get fooled by the vegan/ gluten free option, I don’t believe they really care the freshness of the food.

One last thing is the sign for not using laptops. What??!! I needed to laugh at it. This space is so anti-community, it’s not welcoming at all!!! Where is the real care for visitors, nowadays we all use laptops, tablets specially travellers, and so many digital nomads now in the world that work from everywhere. That is the future, and this place even though it’s beautiful space, doesn’t seem to understand.

Go to Fortunata Cafe or Three Monkey Cafe, both beautiful spaces with great fresh coffee with good food and both of them have a...
