General opinion: This is an insult to restaurateurs in Manila. I have tried the other concept restaurant (Aria) was really disappointed with their pasta and pizza.
I saw this voucher in Boracay Island News about Hama, I’ve lived here for a year yet I haven’t tried Hama, well because people already warned me, yet I have to see it for myself.
MY ORDERS:
The Shoyu Ramen is just a pork noodle, the noodle was not the right noodle, based on my experience with RAMEN. How can they call it ramen? No broth, meat was rubbery. And there’s my 350 + 10% service charge
I ordered their Maki roll, this one is 4/5 for me. Fair enough for P370.00
Gomoku Ramen, again this isn’t ramen, this should just be called NOODLE SOUP.
There are other authentic tasting Japanese restaurant in the island.
LOCATION:
I think the advantage of this place is its location only. They should give up the space for a better tasting and dedicated restaurant.
Very insulting to customers to be served with a food like this .
Also the place is hot with a...

Mango Shake 4.5/5 tastes fresh
Frozen Iced Tea 3/5 Too sweet for my liking
Tempura Udon 4/5 The tempura is good, tasty, and fresh The noodles is smooth and tastes fine I don’t really like the taste of the broth (maybe i’m just picky), I think it’s miso and I guess it’s too strong for me because when I think of udon I imagine the taste of the soup would be light.
Shoyu Ramen Authentic taste, my parents loved it (as they travel to Japan often and generally loves Japanese cuising)
Tonkatsu Curry 3/5 The breading isn’t good (soggy n not crispy), but the serving is fair
Fried Veggies (bento) Tastes good w/ sauce!
Tonkatsu (bento) Same breading issue as the past reviews but the taste is fine
California Maki 5/5 The best! Loved it, very balanced and nothings overpowering. The cucumber blends well with the sushi (me who usually takes out the cucumber of the maki). Fair...
Read moreI recently visited this so-called "Japanese restaurant," and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. First of all, what they serve barely resembles anything close to authentic Japanese cuisine. The biggest shock was discovering that instead of using traditional Japanese noodles like ramen or udon, they use instant noodles—yes, the kind you buy in a convenience store for a few cents!
The worst part? The menu pictures paint a beautiful and appetizing image, but what you get is a far cry from that. It’s honestly laughable. The presentation and quality are nowhere near what you expect from a Japanese restaurant.
It makes absolutely no sense to label this place as a Japanese restaurant. The food lacks authenticity, and it feels like a lazy attempt to fool customers. If you’re looking for real Japanese food, save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. This place doesn’t...
