Sosi Bistro — Restaurant in Panglao

A tiny restaurant that you will miss if you dont look for it. And that would be unfortunate.

The restaurant was clean and inviting. There aren't too many tables and not suitable for very large groups (probably 6 the max).

Service was friendly.

We ordered the spicy mango chicken, mushroom adobo, and grilled chicken with rice.

The mango chicken was basically fried chicken nuggets in a mango sweet and sour sauce. While the flavor was good, it was mostly just breading and skin and very little chicken. It was a tad oily too. This dish doesn't come with rice fyi.

The adobo mushroom was delicious. It was very flavorful and had nice crunchy tofu cubes to balance the soft mushroom texture. This dush also doesn't come with rice.

The grilled chicken with rice was good. There was a decent amount of chicken. The rice was a tad dry though.

The only downfall is that...

📍Place: located at the main road, a small place with like max 40 seats inside and outside combined. It's nice and clean, well decorated. 🍛 Food: we tried the mango chicken (325 PHP) and the Adobo ribs (425 PHP), added some rice and a garden salad (275 PHP) on the side. We were really hungry but even without this fact the food was really good. Especially the mangos chicken which is truly spicy 🌶️, so prepare yourself for that. But that is exactly the dish where although it hurts, it adds to the overall taste. Adobo was very soft and tender, well prepared, but not my type. Free drinking water is provided. 👩🏻‍🍳 Service: we were the first guests of the evening, and had a difficult time to choose, but they were patient enough. I was looking for a place that sells rice & while looking at google maps for resto i found this place. The reviews are accurate, the porkchop looks delicious & to my surprise it was!! I rarely eat rice meals but this is super tasty. I'm particulary not a fan of porkchops because i know that the meat is quite hard but sosi made it a little bit tender, it's not super tender but it's chewy. The taste in particular is amazing, the serving portion is big. I was hungry that time & ate it all in one sitting. The mushroom dish was too salty for me, hope you can improve this adobo meal. My friend ordered chicken and according to her it was yummy as well. Overall it was good....
