Finally went to WILDISH for dinner on 20/04/2025.It was a wonderful experience that I dreamed of…Y’all might know this restaurant is WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva)’s shop…If your getting directions to come here by google maps you will enter a complex with some shops including WILDISH.It is the second shop in right side when viewed from the entry of that complex sorry I forgot to check the name of that complex but when you get directions by google maps it is very easy to locate WILDISH restaurant…
Now let me tell about what I felt when I first entered the restaurant…The restaurant was some what big and the interior and exterior were very beautiful..
Now speaking about the food they were pretty tasty but a bit expensive…Downside is that the price of the soft drinks like CocaCola and sprite were expensive..We ordered 400ml CocaCola bottle and it was selling for Rs.180 in the market but in WILDISH that 400ml CocaCola drink was Rs.550…..
The things I ate and drank were and there prices👇 👉CocaCola 400ml - Rs.550(Market price was Rs.180) 👉Wild Chocolate Milky Shake - Rs.1350 👉French Fries - Rs.800 👉Wild Chicken Burger - Rs.2650 👉Wild BBQ Pizza - Rs.4550 *️⃣Note - There will be the service charge and the tax.These percentages I mentioned will be added to the bill…. 👉Tax(18% precent) 👉Service charge(10% precent)
You might we wondering why I didn’t still talk about WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva).Oh yeah now I am gonna talk about him.Unfortunately when we visited he was not there. So we asked a waiter if we can take a call to WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva),the waiter told that he would try to contact WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva) by there manager who was there.A few minutes later the manager there came can told us that this was a day(Sunday) he should stay but unfortunately he had an event so he went to that event. The manager contacted WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva)and after sometimes finally he answered I asked for a video call but the manager there told me he was in a event so eh couldn’t take a video call but the normal call was also worth..WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva) was a very kind character I liked his attitude he was talking very kindly and he told that to ask the restaurant again when before visiting the restaurant if there is WildCookBook(Charith.N.Silva) then the shop will say if he is available now or not,he told that he was specially on Saturday and Sundays except that he got a event to go.On other days he is available at night time.
It was the my favorite restaurant that I ever visited in my life…❤️❤️❤️Really really loved the...
Read moreWe ordered a variety of dishes, including the soup of the day, cuttlefish dish, roast paan with crab curry and pol sambol, the Wildish Energy Boost smoothie, the Mix Boost smoothie, and their special recommendation, the ginger mocktail.
The soup of the day was a vegetable soup. While it was well-prepared and had a decent flavor, it wasn’t particularly memorable for me. It was good, but not extraordinary.
The cuttlefish dish was served in a generous portion, and the crispy texture made it a standout. I would highly recommend this dish from what we tried.
The roast paan with crab curry and pol sambol was another highlight. As someone not very familiar with eating crab, the staff kindly helped us remove the shells, which made the experience much easier. The crab curry was rich and flavorful, and it paired wonderfully with the roast paan. They served six pieces of bread, which were delicious, but we found the portion a bit small to finish all the curry. While additional bread was available, the minimum order was six pieces, which was too much for us. It would be great if smaller add-on portions could be offered in the future.
The drinks were fresh and well-prepared. While they weren’t personal favorites taste-wise, they were enjoyable overall.
The ambience was another aspect we loved. The interior design created a relaxed, inviting vibe. The atmosphere was further elevated by the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment we made the reservation, the team was incredibly supportive, and at the entrance, they promptly assisted us in selecting the best seating options. A special mention to Ramashan and Nadun, who provided exceptional service and made our experience even better.
In terms of pricing, considering the location and the fact that it’s a celebrity chef restaurant, the prices seems reasonable. Depending on your order, it may range from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 8,000 per person.
Overall, it was a delightful experience with a mix of flavorful dishes, great service, and a...
Read moreWe ordered a chicken burger (2,350 LKR) and a chicken tandoori pizza (3,450 LKR), along with two Sprite bottles (1,100 LKR). The Sprite bottles arrived first, and I felt it was too expensive to charge 550 LKR for a single small Sprite bottle, which can typically be purchased for no more than 150 LKR (when chilled).
Next, the chicken burger arrived. It looked great in terms of presentation, but the taste was disappointing. Even the fries that came with the burger were just average. I think the burger has significant room for improvement, despite its visually appealing presentation. For example, it contained too many vegetables, making it feel like a salad rather than a proper burger. Additionally, there was a strong lemon flavor that didn’t complement the burger well. The chicken patty also needs improvement, especially with better seasoning.
The pizza was okay but not exceptional. You can get a thin-crust pizza for a lower price at Pizza Hut, and it would likely taste better. The sauce, in particular, was disappointing, and I would suggest trying to replicate a better recipe.
In conclusion, the food requires better quality control. For example, you could check "Dinemore" at Katunayake for their burger recipes—they offer a good variety of tasty burgers. For quality control, I’d recommend referencing "Wasthi Restaurant," where I’ve dined at least five times and have never been disappointed with the taste.
Regarding the service, the restaurant seemed overstaffed. While I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t affect the bill, the 10% mandatory service charge feels unjustified considering the food quality. If the food had been better, I would have happily given a 10–20% tip, but the quality was unacceptable.
On a positive note, the atmosphere is nice for dining, and the staff were friendly and provided good service. However, the food—the primary service offered—needs substantial improvement to meet...
