We entered this tea room fancying a cup of tea and the moment we entered the owner started shoving his sale patter down our throats trying to sell his overpriced ornaments. As we were looking at the menu on the board a mother and son walked in and the boy ran towards the shelves. The owner then shouted at the boy and told him that he would clip him round the ear if he touched the ornaments. He was really confrontational. My partner and I were really shocked at what he had said and then when he saw our faces tried to explain. We decided that we couldn't stay and left. As we left he said to my partner "don't look like that I don't want his mum to have to pay for it if it breaks" my boyfriend explained that he thought he had been a bit harsh. He then said "that's the way I am and if you don't like it go elsewhere." So we did. On the way back to our car about two hours later he was outside the tea room packing away and started mocking us both by singing the boys are back in town and acting really threatening. I have never met someone so vile. If you are visiting Bourton on the Water don't bother stopping here. Keep walking and visit any of the other...

My wife and I came here for brunch. Good food and very reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly and patient with us as we browsed the menu. Very cozy and charming indoor seating full of character, and awesome location just beside the River if you want to eat outdoors. Coffee was very very good, scones were too. Sausage bap was delicious. Hotdog was a little letdown, the Owner should look to improve the hotdog sausage and fry them instead of boil (strange that the sausage in the bap was really good). Chilli con-carne on the hotdog was good, though.

This place also has a little “museum” gift shop of model villages, some very rare, all beautiful. Worth to spend 5-10mins browsing their very large collection, and maybe pick up one or two.

This place is a gem and definitely worth a stop if you’re visiting...

We waited over 40 minutes for our food which came out one at a time. Beans we're straight out the tin as not even luke warm, nachos we're stone cold. Young staff didn't seem to know what they were doing & when asked when the rest of the food was coming they shrugged their shoulders & walked away. The chicken bacon & avocado salad contained hardly any bacon & 1 tiny peice of avocado. Cutlery was hard to get hold of. Tables were getting the wrong food - people who had only just ordered getting other peoples food. Chaos & it wasn't massively busy. We should of sent the food back but after waiting so long for it we decided to eat what we could & leave. On a plus the sweet potato fries we're nice - the rest of it wasn't nice at all. The young lad was the only pleasant...

Finding somewhere who caters for Gluten Free was a revelation in this busy tourist town. GF menu was in the window and there was plenty to choose from. Popped in for a bite to eat for lunch just as it was starting to get busy. Greeted on entry and a table was located with minimal fuss. We ordered two salad mains a bowl of fries and two drinks all for just £29!! Service was excellent, drinks came straight away and the food followed soon after. The salad was delicious with a superb range of leaves, pepper, spring onions, cucumber and tomato. Salad dressing served separately in a small jug was also a nice touch. Chips were crispy, hot and fresh and all in all I can honestly say it was superb value for money. Would certainly pop in again when next passing through

Not a place which particularly stood out. Came here for lunch, ordered a plate of fries and a pulled pork bun. The fries were fresh, hot, and tasted good. Whereas the pulled pork bun was humongous and served uncut which made it a bit of a challenge to eat. The BBQ sauce used in this bun leant way too much into the smokey taste, which made it a hard eat as it was extremely strong and other flavors within the sauce were hard to distinguish. The atmosphere was OK, but it is a bit cramped and everyone in our group was unable to access any service for our phones. Would probably only recommend for a quick drink at the river-side.
