Maxi’s at Dial House — Restaurant in Cotswold District

I held my 40th birthday celebrations at Maxi's just over a week ago - and I feel compelled to write a Google review... something which I very rarely do. Karl, Kai and the rest of the team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish, doing everything within their power to exceed expectations. The tipi is a beautiful, enchanting space - which held around 80 guests with ease. Despite it being February, Maxi's was extremely warm, the food and cocktails were delicious and the entertainment ('Mirror Man' and stilt walkers - very kindly organised by Karl) added immensely to this magical and memorable evening. Numerous family members and guests have commented that it was the best party they have ever been to. I cannot speak highly enough of this spectacular venue and the outstanding team behind it. Great location and such a lovely setting. But the prices are so inflated for the quality of drink that are served. The quality of the cocktails are not balanced very sour and not accurately measured. No consistency. I visit cocktail bars where trained mixers serve, and pay approx £12 for a beautiful balanced drink. Unfortunately the cocktails I had at Maxis were served by unqualified bar staff (may be great working a normal bar but not a cocktail bar) with no official mixing courses on board at a price of £14 upwards.
