As someone who loves clubbing, I had to make a research on the best club to have a nice time in Chester; all answers pointed to Rosies. I decided to make a further research about Rosies, and I focused largely on the reviews here. After perusing the reviews, I discovered that the major complaint was about the bouncers and not the quality of service. As much as I earnestly wanted to visit, and have a wonderful clubbing experience, I had a second thought because I wouldnāt want to be restricted from entering or bounced out of the club as I had read here on the google reviews page. Some even accused them of being racistš¬ I confided in my flatmate and he advised that I visit, as the bouncers will only restrict me from entering if Iām drunk, otherwise, Iām good to go.
I visited Rosies first on the 17th, couple days ago, and contrary to all I read here about the bouncers, they were highly receptive. I told them it was my first time and one showed me around. I visited a second time on the 19th, I had issues using my phone network, one of the bouncers realized I was struggling with my phone and asked what the problem was, I told him it was my network, thereafter, he helped me connect to the smart WiFi in the club. I visited a third time on the 20th, the only reason I almost got restricted was because the bouncer thought I was on a sports wear, he felt the material and allowed me go in afterwards. But while he was enquiring about my pant, I saw how some others were restricted from entering, but, like my flatmate said, they were clearly drunk, thatās why the bouncers stopped them from entering.
The only issues I had there was the lack of menu at the bar and the air freshener in the gents restroom. Thereās a menu on their website but itād be more convenient if thereās a physical one in the club, to enable people select their choice of drink or cocktail easily, as I had a bad time figuring out which is which. If the bouncer hadnāt come to my aid when I was finding it difficult to access the web, it would have been difficult to pick my choice of drink.
Overall, Rosies is worth every penny you spend there. They just need to get a good air freshener for their restroom and a menu in the bar.
Iād have given them a 5/5 but that would be after the air freshener in the restroom is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery rude people. Worst experience I ever had in my life. Especially the bouncers behave way too rude. As you have told...Yes two sides to every story is really needed... That's what we are also expecting from your place as well.. Me and my friends had paid and come to rosie's for the first time and been asked to leave the place by the bouncers saying that they had been banned us last time when we visited the place. How can they ban us previously if we had never visited the place at all before.? When asked ne bouncer told that he remember our face from last time it seems. How can the person identify someone who had never been there? We asked them to show the proof of their false accusation . They weren't willing and told us that they dont have to show any proof, and called us liars. We live in Liverpool and visited your place for first time and this is not what I was expecting.. I tried explaining and told them that they would have misunderstood. Still they told us that we are lying without providing any evidence. I requested them to check the previous cctv footages if in case of any misunderstanding. We paid for the place and got humiliated and hurt. We even told the police person who came there and he said it would have been some misunderstanding and he can't help much. So finally we left thinking will never suggest this place to anyone whom we know. So yeahh every story has two sides as you say. Hoped a better way of approach from your part to non UK citizens.
Edited :- I can't believe that you haven't looked into this matter properly or may be still in misunderstanding. I understand you have the right to throw away people who behave badly. But I can assure you that we haven't been there before. Although I don't want to stoop to your level and lie for a review just because I have access and means to. This will definitely resonate to people who have been in our situation prior. With all your replies, its very clear that you guys don't want to rectify, you just want to justify your mistakes. Don't worry, I don't think anyone with an ounce of self respect will want to come to an establishment like yours after seeing you falsify facts and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery upset to have to write this as Iām the first person to support local business. I have been to Rosieās many times during my time at university but tonight has absolutely ruined it for me. My brother and two of my friends which I see a handful of times per year spent a lot of money travelling down, paying for accommodation and other things to come and see me for Halloween. His partner which isnāt a big drinker said she was tired around 1am, so we went and spoke to the security officers and asked if we were okay to walk her home and return, they seemed fine with that and told us it wouldnāt be a problem. We walked her home (10 mins down the road), made her some food quickly and made sure she was safe and walked back, we returned around 1:30am/2am. When we went back to the door and asked if we could come back in, we showed our passes and as the guy who we spoke to before was letting us back in, a dark skinned security guard told me that my brother was too drunk, and for some context, he had drank around 2/3 drinks in the space of 5 hours as he was looking out for his partner, he was stone cold sober and I was a little drunk myself. They said I could come in but heās not banned for the night, for absolutely no reason. We paid for the premium queue skip entry and spent a lot of money in there as a group and they straight up denied his entry for no reason. The manager was also out there and gave me a load of attitude for no reason. Said that if the bouncers said heās too drunk heās too drunk. I asked her to look at him and tell me if he looks drunk and she said she didnāt care. I then asked her why she was speaking to me the way she was and had so much hostility toward me for no reason, and she argued back with me. I very much enjoyed Rosieās as it was a local spot for us with a good vibe. But I will no longer go here knowing that they will remove you whenever they feel like it, and give no valid reason for it. My brother spent around Ā£100 coming down to see me and was out for around 2 hours before being refused. And I had to spend the rest of the night without him. Very upset and very angry. And Iām very much hoping they refund his...
