Awful customer service! I went here last night and have to say I have not received such terrible customer service in a very long time. I ordered a steak sandwich and can only describe this as a thin bit of meat between two slices of toast, a bit of salad and a plate full of fries.
I was not able to gain the attention of any waiting staff as I was not given a knife and fork or follow up service with which to ask for any condiments. I had to ask the girl making cocktails behind the bar for a napkin and some manager/owner for some ketchup. Not once did any waiting staff ask if I was enjoying my meal, in fact I don't think I ever saw any of them smile!
I asked to pay my bill, this was duly delivered and I was then left waiting, and waiting, and waiting...The same cocktail waitress (the only staff member with the ability to smile) asked if I wanted to pay seeing me stood there for ages. I replied that I would but on no way was I going to pay the added service charge! The bare faced cheek, to add a service charge when there was no customer service! Appalling!
Yes the music, the people dancing seemed to be enjoying themselves, but honestly you could not pay me enough to...
Read moreI think this is like a city boys club. It models itself on a traditional parisian bistro, checked table cloths and it won't let the men wear ties (there a trophies of cut out ties nailed to the walls). It also quite difficult to find especially as the front is currently obscured by netting and scaffolding on the road. For me it wasn't worth the effort of seeking it out. Food mostly consist of male comfort food (there's a lot of steak on the menu, coq au vin that kind of thing) and although my frites were good, the steak was covered in a sauce that I found overpowering after a while. Give desserts a miss I don't think they do them that well here. I think the food is mostly there to sop up the copious quantities of alcohol that everyone around us was consuming. What recession?! I'm happy to leave this one to...
Read moreI went to Paris Grill this evening with some work colleagues as a farewell treat for my retirement. All of the staff we're very attentive but not over the top. Their service was top notch. I chose the Steak tartare, which was prepared at the table by Didier, and it was superb. My colleagues all enjoyed their food too, including the wine from a quite extensive and reasonably priced cave. The ambience was very business like but still very pleasant. The waiting staff were extremely polite and efficient. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Price wise very reasonable. Would I recommend Paris Grill to others? Most definitely. If I was pushed to find a fault with anything, it would be that we didn't have linen napkins, but that is just nit picking. We had a lovely evening so my rating would have to...
