First time having a lobster š¦ roll ever at Mason's. It was quite tasty and simple. I ordered the Connecticut rather than the Classic, because I wanted my roll warm. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder which was recommended over the lobster bisque by the server/cashier. Service was extremely quick (less than 2 minutes) as the restaurant had less than a dozen people there when I went there. This place is very pricey for the small portion sizes. The lobster roll was 18.95 and I felt like I finished it in about 6 small bites! Definitely not cheap eats. However, the lobster was tender and lightly seasoned. The roll was buttery, soft, and nicely toasted. The clam chowder was creamy with decently-sized chunks of clam. I didn't like that the server put the unopened package of oyster crackers in the chowder. That was weird. Why would he do that? I also enjoyed the organic root beer with my meal. Overall, the food is yummy, but the portion size is like an appetizer. After spending $26, I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the large lobster roll for $20 at their Annapolis location. I grew up near Cape Cod, so I have to say I have eaten some great lobster rolls as well as some average ones. Mine was a good value for the price. The pluses include lobster meat with no filler and a well grilled bun. The minuses prevented me to reste the lobster roll as a very good one. The lobster meat was so ice cold it tasted like it was previously frozen. In my 60 plus years of eating them, the lobster meat was always served room temperature. I ordered the traditional lobster roll mayonnaise based preparation which should have infused some additional flavor. There was a bit of some sauce on the top of the lobster meat, but it added no taste. The result was eating really cold lobster meat on a bun. Not as enjoyable as it could have been. Next time I will just buy a steamed lobster, pick it and make the lobster...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would give Lobsterās mason rolls 10 stars if I could. This place has the best mason rolls I have ever tasted. Sometimes Iāll go to a place and their mason rolls will be stale or too sticky but at Lobsterās they obvious catch the mason fresh each and every morning. If there is one thing that could make Lobsterās Mason rolls better it would be if it had a dock. If there was a dock I could go right up to it in my sail boat because I sail and Iām better than Adam because Iām not on PRE-JV. I also wish they had a ballista on their menu but I couldnāt find a ballista anywhere. Sometimes your just walking downtown and you want a nice hearty ballista but you canāt get one at your favorite restaurant. So Lobsterās mason rolls I give you a 10/5 for your excellent fresh mason rolls but please build a dock and add ballista to your...
