Vida Taco Bar is a great quick restaurant here in Annapolis! Annapolis, Maryland is a hidden gem of a city, and this restaurant is definitely one of the better options right in the downtown area (if you’re not wanting to get a super expensive bill at a higher-end restaurant…which there are plenty here). If you’re craving good drinks, tapas, creative tacos, and more Mexican fusion food, this is the place to go! We were able to walk right in off the street on a busy day (no reservation needed as people are in and out pretty fast) and we sat right next to their big windows overlooking the street while we ate! It was awesome! We got guacamole and a virgin mojito to start (both excellent, highly recommend), and then got these street tacos: Gringo Taco, Seared Tuna, Chicken Pastor, Thai Basil Shrimp, Chorizo, Carne Asada and Ancho Chicken. All were really good! Maybe not the #1 best tacos we’ve ever had, but none were bad, all were good, and we would definitely have them again. Our favorites were the Gringo Taco, Chorizo and Seared Tuna. However, this seems like one of those places you could get pretty much anything and be pretty happy with your order. Again, not world-renowned top-of-the-line food, but certainly better than a lot of places, and definitely worth trying out. I think you’ll enjoy it!

The mezcal Paloma pitcher tasted great and the cinnamon salt rim on the glass was an excellent accompaniment! Easily the highlight of the meal. However, we were charged $44 for the pitcher instead of the $40 listed price on the menu($11 for a single drink). The pitcher gives 4 drinks—if we knew ahead of time, we would have order 4 different drinks instead. The cauliflower taco and Korean pork belly taco were the standouts. Both were highly flavorful and sauced well. The cauliflower taco were lightly breaded and had good consistency throughout. If you like heat, go for the Korean pork belly since it really packs a punch. The other 4 tacos and pico de gallo were not memorable. Service was friendly. Give it a try for yourself and order the mezcal Paloma. Tacos were hit or miss seeing as we only liked 2 out of 6. Make sure to double check your bill when you leave.

This review is specifically for the Sunday special which is actually such a good deal I’m afraid if I write about it here they’ll have to get rid of it. But oh well. $7 for the best nachos you’ll ever have. These aren’t like Texmex nachos piled with sour cream and ground beef. These are the real deal- loaded with seasoned black beans, their delicious house queso, salsa, purple cabbage, cheese, and chicken that is actually legitimately good. Or whatever other meat you order is prob good too but idk. Can only speak to the outstanding chicken. And they layer the toppings within the chips so you actually run out of chips before toppings, unheard of! I wait all week for these nachos (which btw are on the menu every day)

Our group of 4 stopped in here for dinner on a Saturday night. We were initially told it'd be a 30-minute wait so we put our name in and went across the street for a drink. We were there for maybe 10 minutes when we got the call that our table was ready...that was quick!

The restaurant was definitely busy and loud. It seemed that there was only one server for all of the tables in there, so it took a little time for her to make her way to our table. Once she did, she explained the margaritas and the tacos to us since it was our first time. She gave us some time to decide, came back, and we ordered our drinks and the Queso Blanco appetizer. There was plenty of other staff to assist the server by bringing food out to the tables.

The other 3 got margaritas and I just stuck with iced tea. They all got the same margarita and said it was very good. The queso dip was delicious...nice and smooth, not spicy, perfect with the corn chips.

Each of us ordered 3 different tacos to try and they were all good. I got the lamb barbacoa, chorizo, and carne asada tacos on a flour tortilla. The lamb barbacoa was not labeled as spicy but I think it had a kick to it...probably more than the chorizo, which actually was labeled as spicy.

Overall we were very satisfied with everything. I wasn't too crazy about the noise, but nothing can really be done about that given the size of the place, so just be prepared. It was hard to have a conversation at the table...

Horrible Customer Service Went here on a Saturday afternoon for my birthday, got seated right away which was nice but they sat us in the front window table where the sun was blazing so we asked to be sat in the back and they were very accommodating. However this was the only positive part of our experience. After moving tables we waiting for about 10 minutes for the waitress to even come to our table to take drink orders. By then we were all ready to put our food orders in. We got the food and a fairly timely matter. Food was okay nothing to write home about. As we were sitting at the table enjoying our meal there was a girl worker in the kitchen window that kept staring at me then turning back to her friends in the kitchen to say something then they all looked at me and laughed. This continued on through my whole meal to wear I wasn't able to enjoy my meal anymore. We soon after asked for the check which was given to us, when we asked the waitress to split the check for us the waitress told us we would have to split it ourselves Because it was to hard for her. So we told her which items were who's to which she said we would need to add it up and tell her how much each of us were paying. Are you serious? You can't do the math yourself! Overall the experience here was horrible and left me in a bad mood. I will not be coming back nor will the other 2 couples that...
